Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unpublished Poem and Associated Claims

Dear Poetry America,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the non-publication of my poem, which was submitted to your organization for inclusion in "A Celebration Of Poetry" on April 8, 2004 (ISBN: [protected]). Despite having received confirmation and documentation that my poem would be published, this commitment was never fulfilled.

Details of the Complaint:

Breach of Contract: At the time of submission, I was 15 years old and entered into an agreement with Poetry America, which promised the publication of my poem. This agreement has not been honored, constituting a breach of contract.

Failure to Deliver Services: I paid for the service of having my poem published, which was never delivered. This failure to provide the promised service is unacceptable.

Emotional Distress: The non-publication of my poem has caused significant emotional distress. As a minor, this experience has had a lasting impact on my mental health and has hindered my pursuit of a writing career.

Loss of Opportunity: The failure to publish my poem has resulted in a loss of opportunity for me to advance my writing career. This has had a detrimental effect on my professional aspirations and personal growth.

Supporting Documentation:

Confirmation and documentation of the agreement with Poetry America.
I have the letter from the Senior Editor, the copyright paper, and the Senior Editor's signature. Evidence of my age at the time of submission.

A formal public apology from Poetry America addressed to all affected artists for the breach of contract and the emotional distress caused by their failure to publish my poem.

Compensation for the emotional distress and significant loss of opportunity that resulted from this experience. As a 15-year-old, I was passionate about writing and had high hopes for my future as a writer. The non-publication of my poem led to a loss of confidence in my abilities, causing me to stop writing altogether and hindering my personal and professional growth.

Proof of proper publication of my poem, or, alternatively, the immediate removal of the website or transfer of ownership to my hometown for the benefit of all local artists under my soon-to-be-established business, along with a donation to a charity of my choice. I trust that you will take prompt and appropriate action to resolve this matter.

I hope to resolve this matter amicably and look forward to your prompt response. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will pursue a class action Lawsuit.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Sarah Faye Taylor

The Senior Publisher highlighted that this poem is directed towards mental health awareness, which is a personal struggle for me and something I take to heart. This issue is significant and has profoundly affected my life. The negative publicity resulting from this situation would be severely damaging.

Also, my contact information is in this post. That Needs to be removed. Please and thank you kindly.
