"Jason" calls from different numbers, that can't be identified on reverse lookup, in the 678 area code. I know it's Jason because, yesterday, I finally answered and when he said his name I told him not to call and that I didn't live in Georgia, even though I've kept my 678 prefix for my cell phone. He quickly hung up. Got two more 678 calls today that I didn't answer. That makes 8 in the past 6 days. When I did a Google search for American Home Security, "Jason" came up repeatedly. Seems to be a pattern. I am on the DNC registry.
Desired outcome: stop the calls
I recieved several calls from them. Trying to see who they are. If anyone has there website or company detail please let me know.
Same as everyone else here. I've tried being "passed off" to the supervisor to find out as much as possible. It worked one time with a solar panel company that called for years. I asked a supervisor to take me off the call list because it was wasting their time too and he did it. That tells me that some are just collecting info of whomever they can but for what purpose I don't know. I cuss them out and sometimes just don't answer my phone which sucks. I've tried contacting our phone service and everything I can and nothing helps. I just wish I could get their personal numbers so I could call them at dinner time.
I am in the same nightmare! These calls are happening everyday sometimes 2 times a day! This is harassment at its finest! Any suggestions to make this stop would be great!
Have you tried to get information on them.like there call back #, website, where they located? If you can get that and share it. That would be good.
Why our government can't do something about these crooks, I do not know. I have been getting calls from them for years, some days 3 or 4 calls. I'm in a position that I am not comfortable not answering my phone, it is my business phone, as well as personal. It is difficult to believe with modern day technology, that they couldn't at least stop them from spoofing numbers. Just got one spoofing Peidmont Hospital, near where my son lives. Sad to think that anyone falls for these idiots scams. I'm guessing mostly lonely old people.
“Charlotte” with American Home Security, a robot leaving a partial voicemail. They aren’t legit or they would be following the rules of the Do Not Call registry and not calling blindly. But also they would leave a message if they were operating a legit service. Ducking voicemail says to me you know you are doing something wrong and can have deniability. My voicemail records everything. Spam and scam calls still get caught on my voicemail because I know how your systems work. Stop calling.
I have also found the following from the BBB:

Do not answer any questions this entity has when they call you. They collect all the info you provide to them and can use it against you for the purposes of identity theft even with you confirming your address or vehicle info.
Forgot to mention they have an “F” with the BBB due to their lousy practices.
She calls me 6 times a day from different numbers I finally speak to a human but they never stop calling after I've asked them not to
I live in rural west TN and they don’t even service this area. A woman started the called and passed me off to a “specialist” that sounded Indian.
He was more interested in finding out details of what I currently have and my access points than telling me about their product.
I got sucked in for a minute and then when I asked why he needed to know so much about my situation and current service and not to just tell me about their product, he hung up.
A scam, but to what purpose? To target my home?
Beware!
