This is not a job this is a school that will charge you $200 dollars. The ad on craigslist misleads you to think that if you pay for there 8 hour course that they will have jobs available. THIS IS A SCAM. Do not go down this job. Brian is going to bring you in his office and start asking you very fast questions about how to make different drinks even though the ad says that no experience is required. He is pretty much setting you up for you to make a quick decision to pay for there course. He is going to tell you that he has all of these clubs and bars that need bartenders. The fact is that you don't need a bartender's license to be a bartender and even if you do have a bartender's license no one is going to hire you if your no good because its bad for business. DO NOT GO THIS PLACE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This company is useless, crap and undoubtedly a scam. Offering alleged training course for no value. I foolishly did the course, it was like 2 hours. The vile man running it was a greasy SEX pest who was intent on hitting on some of the more naive girls in the group. He taught us how to mix vodka with orange juice...absolute sleaze and wish I had knocked him out to be fair. I weigh 90lbs and he looked like a roid addicted body builder but believe me I was so annoyed I would have floored the [censor]...huge scammers who should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Jobs they claim to have are fictitious, went to a couple of interviews and the bar's either didn't exists or had no vacancies nor knowledge of these utter shysters.
Avoid like the plague and I seriously wish anyone involved in running this company meets an extremely unpleasant demise as soon as humanly possible...

American Bartending Association is closed people. Theres a new company there and they are super awesome! Created for A Purpose LLC is the new company and they helped me find a gig for a huge night club in Jamaica Queens. I really enjoyed MAZI NIGHT CLUB for my New Years Event. A well orchestrated party and every one had fun. I made a lot of money that night and I had a lot of fun with the other bartenders and bottlegirls. Id love to return back in the future but it was just a gig. The company now has me lined up for something a little more permanent. I also worked at another Jamaican Ave night scene lounge called Code Lounge. Code Lounge was a bit far for my day to day commute but I made money the nights I did work there and they also gave me free bottlegirl uniforms that I did NOT have to pay for. EVER! I'm now working a part time position in a hooka lounge in queens that the company gave me also. Its tiny but it gets PACKED so I make my money. Ladies and even guys, if you are looking to start off as a bartender or if u need some connections to the industry I suggest you go and check them out. If they did it for me, I'm sure they will do it for you. Just get super cool with the staff lol. That's why I did. I give the company 5 starts out of 5. NO doubts.

American Bartenders Associates is CLOSED. This place does not exist. A new company by the name of Created For A Purpose LLC is there now. For those who don't know, Created For A Purpose is a great job placement company. They found me a job as soon as I passed my exam. Everytime I came in everyone is friendly and happy to help me. Dawn took me to Aloha NYC her self and I was literally hired on the spot. I believe Aloha has a lot of potential to become a successful lounge. I am looking forward to working with them and seeing how far it can go.

They are posting ads on Craigslist as they are restaurants looking for servers and bartenders, charging $85 in cash ready in order to have an interview the same day. They sound really in a hurry to offer you a job. Thanks for the SCAM advice.
