Allianz Travel Insurance review: Insured trip was denied

On 12/3/21 I booked a fight and car to see my daughter for an event in the Navy. I secured the trip with Allianz Insurance, as I had always done in the past (I claimed before never) On 12/6/21 I received an email from Allianz, AFTER the insurance was already purchased, that Covid may or may not be covered depending upon the circumstances. On 12/18/21 the Navy canceled the upcoming event for 12/25/21 due to Covid concerns. The next morning I emailed Allianz, as the website specifies, and received an email that a rep. would reach out to me in 48 hrs. On the 3rd day I emailed again and called, I explained to the rep. that it was cancelled and sent in the letter the military sent us, stating it was cancelled, the rep. said to send in all necessary documents I should have my refund back in 2 to 3 weeks. On the 3rd week it was denied. After many weeks of calling, I finally got a supervisor on the phone. He said we don't cover that. I explained that I have a letter from the military and the event was cancelled, I let Allianz know prior to the trip, as soon as I found out. I was very professional, not rude at all, he scoffed at me and said, do you know how many ppl change their plans, we don't cover charges when ever theirs a change in plans. The Military canceled the event, and wrote a later to the insurance asking to please refund the families that took out the insurance. I was assuming I would receive my refund in 2 to 3 weeks. I could have easily called the car rental place and airline and asked for some kind of refund
