I dropped my two cats off at All Pets Vet clinic to be spayed and declawed. I was told they would need to stay overnight and would not be allowed to go home until 3pm the following day so that they could be "monitored." When I arrived the following day I first, paid the receptionist the $470.00 for both cats. Then went into the exam room to get directions on how to care for the cats and get my cats. After going over the directions the Vet techcame back into the room to tell me there was a "problem." She said that sometime that day Maui had tore open her incision on her belly and it would need to be restitched. She then proceeded to tell me that they would probably need to sedate her! They were going to call me when she would be ready to be picked back up. I then left with my other cat. They then called me at 5:15 when they closed at 5:30 pm and expected me to pick her right up within 15 minutes. They then explained that there would be a $70.00 charge for resuturing AND a boarding fee if I did not pick her up that afternoon! I could not believe it! My husband explained that we were not paying the 70.00 that it was ridiculous since she was under THEIR care. They would not release our cat to us if we did not pay the fee. We had no choice but to pay the fee. We wanted our cat back. They were not apologetic when we picked her up, they basically stated that sometimes cats do that and they had "no control" over it. Yes they did. They could have put an e-collar on her while she was recovering. I will NEVER go back to that vet clinic again, nor will I EVER recommend them to anyone! Obviously money means so much more to that clinic than service and saving animals. I was not some person expecting a free service. I PAID for my cats to get a service done and trusted them to take care of them while in their care. They failed at doing that.
