I received a phone call today from a gentleman, Peter Williams and his phone number [protected], who claimed to work for Microsoft Corporation. He said our product key had expired and we needed to renew it or the computer would stop working. He said he could fix it by putting the software on the computer. The cost would be $499 dollars for five years or $899 for life. However, he would not take a credit card. I needed to go to Walgreens, Kruger's, or other such stores to buy gift cards. I was to go buy three $100 cards (which does not add up to $499). I was to leave the computer in his hands until I got back. When my husband and I discussed this I realized this was a scam. I turned off the computer. I asked several times if he represented Microsoft. He said he did. How can this be stopped? The phone number that originally called me was1-[protected]. Please help!

We are affiliate of AISECT, Bhopal, India (Code. K010) and have registered with It. As such, we were conducting various Computer courses of AISECT. Now they are not issuing the pass certificates of 22 students who wrote and passed exam during [protected].
We have sent many emails and made several phone calls enquiring about this issue. But they are not responding at all. In this connection, we will be grateful to you if you can intervene in this matter and do the needful. Thank you.
