I called Air Pros ON about the UV lamp not turning on and thinking that was under warranty when they installed my unit approximately 4 1/2 years ago. They can down the same day February the 3rd. The technician check the the unit and and told me that that was a burn wire and the transformer need replacement. The price that he estimated was $1,162 in which I found that it was too much. The conversation we had it sound like a costly and lengthy job and he considered a club membership of $199 prepaid 1 year annual maintenance in order to get a discount. Not realizing how big of job and the cost of the parts to be replaced we agree on the next day for the job. The next day February 4th the repairman can and he did was replaced a small wire and a TP-40VA transformer. I ask the repairment for the invoice and when I saw the breakdown I was shock. The job that was done in approximately 10 minutes cost me $969.40. The transformer was $637 and when I look up the part online I found the part only cost $18 the wiring was $326. I feel that I have being overcharge. I contacted the company 3 times on February the 4th and was told someone will get in touch with me and so far no one has called.
