I recently used AO Tax to file my 2017 tax returns, but unfortunately, I received a notice from the department soon after. I attempted to get in touch with them multiple times, but to no avail. Every time I contacted their customer support, I was told that the appropriate person would get back to me, but I never received a call. This experience was absolutely frustrating and left me feeling extremely disappointed with their service. I strongly advise others to avoid AO Tax as a result, to prevent any potential issues that may arise with the department.

I haven't had the best experience with Advantage One Tax Consulting, to be honest. It seems like they may have taken my stimulus check money without my permission, and now they've gone missing in action. I have been filing my taxes with AOTAX for the past five years, and I must say that I have seen a decline in their customer service. aotax.com is where I went to when I filed my taxes for the first time. I can say that their service has been satisfactory. I also applied for my wife's ITIN through COA process. It took longer than expected from the IRS but throughout the entire process, the associates of AOTAX frequently followed up with me and provided updates.

When I had received a notice from the IRS about missing documents for my ITIN, I was grateful that Sunil Dokka from AOTAX came to our aid. He helped us reply to the notice with the right documents. Thanks to their aid, and the necessary efforts, my ITIN number for my 2020 return arrived.

Overall, I am pleased with the help I received from AOTAX. They went the extra mile to assist me through the proceedings of filing my taxes. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone looking for assistance with their taxes, especially for matters such as ITINs.

I have to say, I had a rather unpleasant experience with Advantage One Tax Consulting. It seems like a scam to me. They showed on their website that I could get a huge $XYZ refund, but when I paid them, they ended up filing my taxes with a different calculation. Not only did I not get any refund, I had to pay way more than I would have if I filed my own taxes!

And when I tried to reach out to their email and phone support, I never got any response except for an automated email saying they'll reply within 24 hours or the customer care representative telling me that they'll update me on my concern, but they never did. It seems like they only care about getting paid and not about the customers they serve.

I strongly suggest you avoid using this company for your taxes and don't even bother recommending them to your friends or relatives. They need to be banned from operating in the USA.

We had repeatedly told them to file our tax return jointly, but they ended up filing it separately on the federal return, causing us to lose out on our return money and not being eligible for COVID relief as well. When asked for a copy of our tax return, we were ignored, numerous times. The state tax returns were filed with an old draft, and the employees dealing with our return never had proper communication. We had to file an amendment ourselves because we never received proper communication from AOTAX. We even received an IRS notice due to their negligence in filing our taxes properly.

But it didn't end there – there were so many errors in the drafts. They listed the wrong address and even replaced my SSN with my wife's. Whenever we would call or message them for a solution, we would be handed off to someone else who would mess up our return all over again. The lack of professionalism and negligence on their part is unacceptable.

To add insult to injury, they wasted our time and energy. We could have filed our taxes ourselves and done a much better job than what AOTAX did with our return. We did not receive any form of compensation or apology for their mistakes. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time and money.

This is a classic example of a fraud company.
They will fool you by making a wrong draft showing us that we will get $XYZ return, then they will ask us to pay for their payment and then they will file taxes with the different calculation where there is no return but we have to pay way more.
No one accepting their mistake, no one there to receive a phone call and respond to an email because they got payment.
Every time their customer care telling that they will update in 24 hours & they will reply to an email but no email and no callback.
I recommend to all that do not file taxes with this fraud company and do not recommend it to your friend or relatives. This company should be ban from the USA.

Our tax return was filed separately on federal return even after constantly telling the AOTAX people to file it jointly. We lost return money because of that and we are not even getting the COVID relief as well. It's ridiculous! I asked them for the tax return copy multiple times but never got it. Old drafts were filed for the state tax returns and there was no proper communication between the employees dealing with our return. An amendment needs to be filed for that but we have received no proper communication on that from AOTAX. We even received an IRS notice because of this. We are taking care of the notice ourselves because we can't expect anything from this useless tax services company. There were so many issues with the drafts - like address was wrong, my SSN replaced with my wife's SSN, and whenever we called or messaged for a resolution, someone new came on and screwed up our return. These guys wasted our time and energy - we could have done a better job ourselves.

I submitted my tax return for 2018 through AO Tax (Ticket#***). Recently, I received an audit query from the IRS regarding this. I contacted AO Tax about the audit letter, and they advised me to raise an Audit ticket, which I did (Ticket#***). I did this two weeks ago, but I have not received a response from them yet. I also requested a callback regarding this matter, and they assured me that someone would contact me within 24 hours. However, no one has called me. This is very unprofessional and will cost me money because I will have to go somewhere else to address this issue. Ideally, this should have been free since AO Tax filed my taxes incorrectly.

I tried calling their customer service, but they ain't answering. They got this thing called escalation, but they ain't doing nothing about it and they ain't telling me nuthin.
