My friend has been kind enough to buy me a gift and I would really appreciate it if I don't have to tell her it was a scam as at the moment that is what it is turning out to be.

I have already downgraded my voucher to a £44 instead of £49 experience (no idea where the fiver has gone, apparently you keep it? that's nice for you) But I cannot get any joy in actually using it. The booking system is impossible and it seems I literally have more chance of winning the lottery than guessing when a place and time might be available in one of the three restaurants within an hour of me.

Every time I email it takes 24 hours or more to reply and the replies are always another question or completely ignore my request which is 'when are there some places available, I'll take one of those!'

I am on a short deadline now as I couldn't find any where nearby with the first voucher experience but I am sure your customers services are asked to drag it out until my voucher expires which it does on April 1st (the whole thing really does seem like a joke)

Can you PLEASE just let me know when a weekend slot (we work) is available for an afternoon tea at York, Harrogate or Wetherby before April 1st (bearing in mind this is now a fair few days since I started to try and book) at one point I was asked if I want cocktails or prosecco so thought maybe I was in but - no.

The restaurants all have loads of availability online but nothing for my voucher (which begs the question, what is the point of the voucher especially since the voucher is actually the same price or more expensive as a cash visit) it also begs the question why does it take so long to get booked especially since this is the actual essence of the job- booking things for people.

I am thinking of sending you an invoice for the time I have spent merely trying to book something nice. It will be a lot higher than the cost of the voucher.
