I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. Order canceled on 11/2/08 - received shipment, charged credit card on 11/7. Customer Service phone number impossible to get through.

Additional charges on 12/5 for $39.95, and 12/22 for 44.90 which were unauthorized charges for merchandise never received. Dispute notice sent to Credit Card company with note these were unauthorized and they are not authorized to charge one penny to my account.

This 'company' should be put out of business and sued for refunds to all of us.

I sent for a free sample of a diet product, and was instead sent a whole pile of drugs I didn't wnat or order. Theu cntnued to bill me $44.90 a month with out my permission. The customer service line is never answered. I changed my credit card number to avoid the billing, but that didn't work either. my credit card compnay would not help either. I can't stop the billing! This is a HUGE scam!

I tried to cancel this order the day after I made it on 5/13/09 and was told I could not cancel until I received it and sent it back - I did send it back and they still charged me on my account and tell me I will be refunded in my account and I am still waiting for confirmation of it!

ordered what was advertised at $4.95 trial bottle and was charged $44.85. Of course I had to cancel my debit card with my bank. I can't get in touch with anyone at the company, you stay on hold for hours. There should be something consumers can do about companies like these. It is not fair to us. I will never ever order anything over the computer again. This was surely a lesson learned the hard way.

This company is bogus. Do all your research before purchasing. Be prepared to pay $45 for a "free" trial. Also be prepared to not receive an answer when calling or emailing. I had to cancel my credit card and dispute all their charges. I will now email all the companies that they use for advertising (Oprah, Today, Rachel Ray, ABC, CBS etc.) and advise them that their name is on a scam. It is easier to go into your local Wal Mart and purchase the Acai pills and a colon cleanse. At least there you get a receipt, product, bag, change (in most cases), a real phone number or live person in case you need a hassle free return and a smiley sticker. Simplicity. =) Nevertheless, I will NEVER purchase from Central Coast Nutra again. I strongly advise that no one, (unless you enjoy punishment) purchase from them either.

BUYER BEWARE.
The company is a scam.
Their billing practices are totally unethical.
And, of course, the product is trash. Actually dangerous trash.
Doesn't take a whole of deductive thinking to figure that one out (at this point in time).
Don't get burned along with all us other dopes. Go to the health food store for your acai.
I just wish this website offered a way to get these guys instead of just airing our sad stories.
A lawsuit would be MUCH more effective at putting these gutter rats out of business.
Why on earth some lawyer doesn't take this one up, I don't know. If you know, explain it to me.

Same as every other complaint listed...order the trial order for $4.95 and was billed $44.90. Could not reach company by phone, e-mailed cancellation of product, but still continued to recieve product and be billed. Currently disputing charge with my credit card company to hopefully put an end to this expense non-sense. To make matters worse, I don't believe the product does a thing! Pissed in PA.

I too fell for the free trail offer and was charged for two more products that I didn't order. I have looked further into this, and found way down on the bottom of the order page online there is a section about terms or something and you have to read that to see that you will indeed be charged extra. However, it was young man at my credit card company who had heard of this company and had given me this idea of where to look. Something I should have seen for myself. This is a deceitful and tricky way for them to make money, and if I lived closer to Az I would be down there pulling someone out through their window. So for the time being I have sent two e-mails, two postal letters, two e-mails from their customer support page, and finally got a response from them that they acknoledged my cancellation. It is too late to dispute the charge, since i did order the product and didn't fully read the terms, shame on me. Credit card company suggested turning it over to the states attorney general which I will if they continue to charge me. I told them you have to get a rma to return the items andyou can't get through on the phone. What a crock, I wish everyone good luck with this and keep trying through e-mails and postal letters to cancel, and make copies of your letters and e-mails to show the credit card companies that you are trying to cancel future shipments.

I saw this on Ophra Winfrey show and thought it might be worth a try, I ordered the free trail for the cost of shipping $4.95, my credit card was charged $44.85, the next month my credit card was charged $39.95 and $44.90. I received the free trail inital order only. This has got to stop. I am on hold right now with the company (hold time is 86 minutes and 39 seconds). This is terrible and a scam. I will contact my credit card company as soon as possible. what else can I do to stop this from happening to others and any further charges to me.

Please be tenacious with them. I have called many times and waited the 30, 40, 60 minutes on the phone to actually talk to them. I have been able to cancel the order and receive a refund...I hope, just requested it today ($39.95). I sent the product back unopened according to their instructions...doing it within the 14 days, receiving a return merchandise authorization number from them, and requesting a delivery notification from the PO with tracking number. Once the customer service rep knew I had done everything correctly she had no choice but to honor my request. I may still be out $24.95 (did receive a $20.00 credit) but it is in dispute with my credit card company. I also got billed $29.95 from Fit Factory. It is also a trial order placed in conjunction with Acaipure. I did not see this in the terms and conditions, nor did I ever receive an email from them referring to the trial offer. I requested and (again, hopefully) will receive a refund and cancel of this monthly charge. I will wait at least 5 days to make sure the credits are received then CLOSE MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT. Please note that I had to refer to these orders as being fraudulently placed by a minor child (under 18) for them to do anything.

Same as others - they offered "free sample" with charge of 5.95 - they charged my credit card for 44.95 in November and then again in Dec - its a monthly charge. When you call toll free number you are told that due to high demand for product wait time is "X" minutes - and shortest wait time has been 16 minutes! I paid wiht AMerican Express card and contesting the charges.

Wow, Listen to these complaints. I also went for the "free" trial offer which was backed by Oprah. (The product) Not only did they charge me for my free trial, but kept sending more bottles and more charges AFTER I cancelled my order and any further deliveries. It was all confirmed on my e-mail. THEN, thinking it was all over, I get another bottle and another charge on my account ($44.90 a pop). I am so angry that I'm even spending my precious time wrapping this up and sending it back. And, they will keep you on hold for over 45 minutes if you want to speak to a human being. I learned my lesson that nothing is "free" and to stay away from scam artists like this!

I tried the Acai product that was being offered for a one month free trial, but you had to pay $1.95 for shipping. I decided I didn"t like the product and called the company to cancel any further shipments. I have been billed on 1-22-09 for $39.95 and 2-6-09 for $44.80 which I didn't authorize. I tried to obtain info via their website (mytrialsupport.com) since it was impossible to get someone on the phone and they do not answer their emails. I contacted my credit card company and had them cancel my card, so I would't receive any additional charges. I expect a full refund of $86.70, since I have returned all the product. The refund will have to be in the form of a check, since my credit card has been closed. My email address is: borntogolf1947@yahoo.com

I discarded my "Free" sample as it raised my blood pressure alarmingly and cancelled the product.

Not enough!

I was subsequently charged $39.95 which they refused to refund after showing me that buried in the terms was that I must return the bottle to cancel the contract. I cannot return the bottle. Thus they refuse to refund $39.95 but will give me a credit of $15.

What is this?

I was scammed on the AcaiPure also. I was supposed to be charged $1.99 in shipping and on my credit card a $39.95 additional charge showed up for this same product. According to Joel, he says this was not a scam and if I would have understood what the slip in the envelope had said (even though there was no slip included in the envelope) I would have known that this would have been charged. Joel was not helpful at all and did not offer me the full refund because it was past the month due date. Everyone... please please do not order from AcaiPure site. If you do, read very carefully what they are trying to do to you. Thanks

THEY TELL YOU YOU WILL RECIEVE A FREE TRIAL AND IF YOU DON'T CANCEL WITHIN 14 DAYS YOU WILL CONTINUE TO RECIEVE FURTHER SHIPMENTS AND CONTINUE TO BE BILLED. i CANCELLED 3 DAYS AFTER RECIEVING PRODUCT AND WAS TOLD THAT WAS ALL I HAD TO DO. THEN 3 WEEKS LATER THEY TOOK $60.43 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT, UNAUTHORIZED AND SAID I WAS SUPPOSED TO RETURN THE PRODUCT WITHIN 30 DAYS AND BY THIS TIME THEY NEED THE PRODUCT IN TWO DAYS OR I OWE THE MONEY. HA HA DON'T TRY IT. BOTTUM LINE IS IT DOESN'T WORK AND YOU WILL OWE BIG TIME.

I ordered this product which was supposed to be free except for a shipping charge of $4.95; I was charged $44.85. I don't know why I did this, I've always lived by the rule, it's not free if I have to pay a penny! I was scammed but it will NEVER happen to me again. I will be writing to Oprah to let her know that this company is using her name, if she doesn't know it already! I will also contact my bank to find out if I can have this charge reversed so these scam artist will not get any money from me!

I was grossly overcharged like so many of the others. The only reason I ordered, besides the free sample and $1.95 shipping, is my husband saw that it was endorsed by Oprah. Does she know about the scam?

I want to warn everyone of this company and how they scam people.
I ordered a trial of the Acai pur for $1.95 shipping. When the charge went through on my credi card it was for $41.85. They added products for Hoodia that I did not order. I emailed their customer service department two days after ordering the trail offer to cancel my order, with no response. I received the products almost a month after ordering and still have not been contacting by their customer service department so I can return their products, I have emailed and called numerous times. I have not tried anything they have sent me and do not want to. My bank is still fighting this dispute.

Ordered "free trial" for $4.95 S/H and was charged $44.85 for other products shipped with "free trial". I unchecked all the appropriate bubbles so I wouldn't receive any extra products, but the company ignored my request and shipped me those same products. I have reported this company to the BBB and the Arizona Attorney General's Office.

Of course my complaint is the same as everyone elses. I ordered product and didn't uncheck? the boxes for the extra products and got charged for them. Haven't received anything yet, but when I do I have to pay to send them back and also a restocking fee. This is outrageous. I have ordered many items off the internet and have never been more disappointed. I thought I was smart about scams, guess not. This was a big wake up call. Most companys that you complaint to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Acai pure won't even answer their phones or there is a hour wait time, come on.

I ordered a free trial and agreed to pay shipping only of $4.95. Acaipure charged my credit card $44.85. I have disputed this with my credit card company. They charge my card again for $39.95 for something I did not order nor did I receive. I have disputed this claim also. Again they charged my credit card $44.90. I have disputed this claim also. The only way I can stop them from charging my credit card is to cancel my card which I have had for 20 years. After holding on the phone for one hour I finally spoke to a person. I was told that they sent me to additional items (which I did not want) and said it was automatic unless I "opted out." I do not remember reading this when I requested free trial.

My advice to future buyers DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THINGS YOU DO NOT ORDER.

This was to cost $4.85 for S.& H. Well they took $44.85 out of my acc.I keep only a small amount in my bank acc. for the internet.Well they paid this co. and took $35.00 fom my acc for a thing called sure pay to pay any checks that come into my acc if there is not enought there to pay the check, the banks pays it and I have to lose #35.00 for there untruthfulness. Then to make matters worse I had wrote out another check for $11.54 and of course the bank paid that and AGAIN charged my acc another $35.00All because this co charged me $44.85 instead of the $4.85 they said it would chg my acc.Now try to get them on the phone is a BIG JOKE.It says they have so many calls coming in it will be about 72 min til I can get thru.Yea I wonder why they have so many calls or should I say complaints. Now I have the product can I send it back with out opening it and get my $44;85 back plus my $70.00 to my bank acc? My bank wants me to file papers, so I guess that is what I will do because I can not get to talk to a person @ the co. So do not send them a penny because they will wipe ouy your whole bank acc.

This company is awful. For a one time charge of a $1.99, they have charges my card twice, once for $39.95 and then $44.90. I have never recieved anything from them.I tried to call to complain and an operator says there is a 39.55 waiting time. This company needs to repay all the monies they have stolen, plus be fined.

I was overcharged on my credit card for items didn't ask for. This company is a scam for sending hoodia water and gum which was a big extra charge on my credit card. I only should have been charged $4.99 twice for shipping and hanglingbut was charged 44.85 I would not recommend them to anyone for the way they do business.

I too tried the trial product and was told I would only be charged 1.99 for the shipping and then seen a withdrawl on my checking account for $39.95. I would have not bought another supply which I was not satisfied with and I want info about getting my 39.95 refunded to me which I didn't authorize them to take out of my account. They were to only take out the 1.99 for the trial sample
