This company claims to have a 'free' trial with a three day cooling off period. When i couldn't contact the company by phone on saturday or sunday as they only operate monday to friday i sent them three emails on their 'contact us' address informing them that i did not want their 12 month subscription attached to the 'free' trial. But after finally getting through to them i have been told my three day cooling off period finished yesterday and as they have no communication from me they couldn't cancel the order. The money has come out of my account before the three day cooling off period finished and now i'm being told that i can't get a refund! I have copies of my emails date and time sent but apparently this isn't COMMUNICATION?

Hello Charloote.what i did. I got this invoice onlne and printed it off then took it to my bank. it should show you on your invoice the money taken out and also the invoice number, they should beable to track it from there, Ive had the same Scam done to me and it makes you feel so ill.to think this is going on, but im afraid to say that the same people are doing this kind of thing in diffrent countries.and under diffrent names, and have been doing this since 2008.and still going on.

I had exactly the same experiences. A link from a friend (so you think it is trustworthy) and the deceiving invoice of 2.95 pounds. I have notified my bank of possible fraud and the bank seems to be aware of fraud activities by the same company. Have canceled my card and my bank is still dealing with them to claim the 65 pounds back. I have also filed a complaint on the link above. Hopefully, the authorities will take action to close the company and arrest all the criminals.

Do your research on this stuff before you give your credit card number out.
I don't even have a credit card and I know this.

I too have been conned, they are very smart talkers. I think I may have got $2000 back after a lot of complaining, just waiting to see if it does actually appear as a credit on my credit card statement. The trainers do keep their appointments but the training is very unsuccessful until I again complained and then it is now emailed to me. How one is expected to remember what they tell us unbelieveable. They prey on vunerable people desperate to make some extra income. My only hope is to stick with it and at least recoup my outlay. I have been so stressed about the whole business, ai cannot believe that I was so foolish in the first place, but they are very pursuasive!

Some Helpful Tips and A Solution for The People That Already Purchased the Products

1. Avoid purchasing acai, colon, teeth and similar products from Online stores or companies that lack a strong reputation. Specially don't give your credit card information to any website. Look for contact information address, and online reviews first.

2. It is unethical that these websites put misleading pricing and wording on their advertisements. Even when this business scam / schema appears to be legal. The actual cost of the product is usually in the terms and conditions or in small letters.

3. Don't use/put any product on your body without doing some research first. Consult with your doctor first or with a source of information that can be trusted. Ask for side effects. And also for statistics.

4. If you already purchased the product and you were unaware of the real cost:
4.1 Call the company and tell them that you want a refund. The sooner the better.
4.1. Put a complain with the credit card company and / or your bank. Report the website and be sure to tell them that you do not authorize any charges from this company in the future.
4.3 Put an on-line review of your experience. It will help others.

Hi Everyone
I am joining this huge community of people who have been defrauded by Better Health! I have emailed them to refund the two unlawful payments totalling £117.98 taken from my account along with the two authorised payments of £2.94 respectively! I have received the Acai berry product but not the Colon cleanser, how strange! I have emailed the interestingly addressed address but do not expect to hear back. I have notified my bank, spoken to the fraud dept but they tell me that, as it shows up as a "recurrent transaction " on my statement, it is the same as a Direct Debit and can be automatically "bridged" to any new card even before I receive it in the post as all bank card details are activated electronically! For anyone else contemplating cancelling their card, save yourself the hassle! The banks have to wait 30 days from the date of the original transaction(s) before they can start investigations so they tell me. They do assure me that, if I can prove the withdrawals were unauthorised by me, then they will reimburse me - little comfort for those on already tight budgets who face the prospect of these ### making further and possibly massive withdrawals from their "customers'" accounts. A friend advised me to keep a separate and minimal account purely for online shopping...quite wise but, with scammers around like these people, I don't EVER want to purchase anything online again! Cheque books are being phased out in the UK so this will lose us another means of protection! Well, brothers and sisters, may we all remain alert, spread the word about this company, keep tabs on their dealings and aliases and be reimbursed by our respective banks! A BIG thank you to Stephen for all his research and advice which I am about to follow. Katherine

Just suffered at the hands of actislim scam, have had two amounts totalling £125.00 taken from credit card, absolutely gutted.I have now cancelled my credit card through fear of further transactions.I am trying to pursue my credit card to see if their fraud dept.can assist in any way, this is obviously an organised scam, payments were applyed from my credit card the very day my order was placed, so no 3 day cancellation was ever going to be honoured, i did in fact try to cancel the order after 2 days as i was uneasy about company.I am very upset with my credit card as when I realised payment had been applyed for it was still pending, yet my credit card have refused to stop the payment, not great considering the amount of fraud going on in the world!has anyone else spoken to there credit cards?i will contact the companies complaints dept.first thing tomorrow.p.s my husband is going to pop by their trading address tomorrow as he works nearby.

I have also had the same experience - with a bounced back email. Being obviously naive I thought I would wait for the product to come and then ring them on the number which came with it and point out their mistake but now reading the above I have obviously been caught up in the scam as well. I have had 2 amounts of $A100.64, one amount of $7.75 taken out and also 3 transactions fees ($0.23, and 2 x $2.97) - should I ring the number quoted above [protected] and talk to Wally - will they be taking any more money out and if so for what? Hi everyone i did the same thing ordered a free trial, was linked to the page by a fake newspage they had set up. makes it look so real. I ordered my free sample, and then decided to get some more info on them, after going through the internet i found all these comments on scam websites and id fell for one of them! I tried to ring the number but said it was unavailable, was quite distressed thinking they were going to take all this money from me, but fortunately i have 24 hour phone banking with ANZ. I called them and asked them to stop any payments they couldnt but cancelled my card so no payments could be taken, lucky my money in the account was low, as i was advised they had already tried to take out $50 and then a further $70 from my account( this was 20 minutes after i had asked for my trial) My advice to everyone is to call your bank immediately and cancel your cards this way they cannot take payments, you will have a new card in 5-7 days it can be a hassle to transfer any direct debits but i would rather ring round for an hour then get robbed by scammers every month!

I have been recently nicked £141 pounds from my account. My biggest mistake was to beleive what they said on the introductory page, without going through the terms and condition. Eventhough I cancelled the order, I am still charged for these product.
I am wondering if any of you taken a remedial steps to get away with this problem. My only work is that these people will continue to nick my money as Bank can't stop them from doing so.
Please share..

Mrs Hanna Thomson's situation is almost identical to mine. I also agreed to give my credit card number for the so-called Free Trial and expected to pay only $A 7.95. I DID receive two boxes within a few days, one box Acai( "Cleanse") each contained two bottles o f60 capsules and the other box contained two bottles each with 60 capsules of the Acai ( "Reduce"). I received an INVOICE for two lots of $7.95 .THERE WAS NO OTHER PRICE STATED ON THIS INVOICE. When my December 2010 credit card statement came, I had been charged by BETTER HEALTH $AU101.56 TWICE. Then my January 2011 credit card statement showed that I had been charged $AU101.40 TWICE by ENERGY SHOP ? I successfuly got through to Better Health in the USA on [protected] and spoke to "Wally" and complained that there was NO DISCLOSURE concerning the actual cost of these products. He said I had not read the terms and conditions - which I confess did not see on the website. I have since looked at the site again and yes, the terms and conditions are there RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE in reverse print ( small white type on black background). "Wally" who would not say whereabouts in the USA Better Health was ( I found out it's in Ohio USA) - asked me to hold on while he cancelled any further products. His words were " Ok you will not be charged one more cent" I also pointed out a to him that the Australian phone number on the invoice was incomplete - less one digit - and furthermore, when I emailed my complaint to the email address (support@128 secureorders.com - IT BOUNCED BACK! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PRICE IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IS STATED AS 'The low price of GBP69" HOWEVER, THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DO SAY AT THE VERY END "Cancel anytime"- BUT the contact phone numbers are in the UK and Zurich! Meanwhile I have lost over $400 and have NOT received the second package. What does GBP69 mean - anyone? I fear that I may be still charged again. MY TIP... please phone up your bank and ask for CARDS and place a "disputed claim". Mrs H Morgan

My situation is almost the same as yours. I agreed to give my credit number so the sum of $AU7.95 could be debited against my bank account. This amount, as shown on my "Your Acai Order Confirmation" was to be the only charge for the free trial. On checking my bank statement today (4 days later and I have as yet not received anything) I saw that two amounts had been drawn for $1.00 each (not autorised) and an amount for $101.10 for Better Health.I straight away wrote an email that was on the invoice(namely GetSlimPackage(no-replay@getslimpackage.com but this email has bounced back. I have asked them to credit these amounts IMMEDIATELY to my account. As this is the first time I have ever purchased anything on the internet I am very upset about the whole situation. I unknowingly did not read the supposed smallprint? I recieved the acia berry within 3 days thinking i was only paying $5.14 to which i had an emailed invoice for with no mention of the additional charges ?I have checked my bank statement and they have charged me in excess of £141 extra I live in england so have found it difficult to pursue the complaint i strongly oppose to them taking money from my account, for charges not stated. i have not recieved the colon product which they said they had sent out so surely they have broken their terms and conditions? please be warned do not sign up for this product ..this companty must be making vast profits. if anyone has any great advise how to take this further please help
