The pool is turning out beutiful. Bob G. is a very nice guy, I would build with him again. However, I would set a time line for finishing of pool in the contract if I had to do it over. This is by far the most beutiful pool I have ever had built, and I have had pools built in the past. A couple of minor issues to take care of is they are coming to install the fire bowl gas which should be done within a week. Also in the spa there is a small rust spot which he told me was done when the mixing of material was done and that would be taken care of soon. Once all of these repairs are done, I will be giving A Better Pool a 5 star rating.

Bob G from A-Better Pool and Spa Service, LLC has not been able to complete the installation of my pool. It has been over a year and three months, and despite receiving full payment, he does not respond to my phone calls. After three months of texting, he finally mentioned that he would come over, but he never actually showed up. This has happened twice now. Unfortunately, my pool remains unfinished.

Company is not responding to any of my messages or phone calls. They agreed to complete an outdoor kitchen for me and the cabinets have been sitting outside my yard for several months. I have informed the company of a leaky roof that was installed by their subcontractor and damaged travertine on my outdoor deck. No one has responded to my complaints or had the project completed in a timely manner.

We hired A-Better Pool and Spa Service, LLC on 9/2/2022 to make a screened-in in-ground pool on our land. We've paid 84% of the agreement and *** is not responding at all. He called to gather up to ***% before the agreed milestone schedule. Since I sent him the agreement and told him to reach the milestone and clean our land before asking for payment, we haven't heard from him. He promised to finish the pool on various dates when a milestone was due, but he never follows through or answers calls. The current state of the pool is: no pool surface, no pool equipment (none installed), no screen fence, and no debris removal, including crushed stone. We've paid 88%. We're requesting a commitment to a completion date.

I had a bad experience dealing with this business. I'm disappointed that there are still ongoing issues, even if they're minor. The only reason my pool is complete is because I complained to the *** about A-Better Pool and Spa Service, LLC. They didn't fulfill their promises and assurances. I paid on time, but the services weren't provided as promised in a timely manner. That's why I had to involve the ***. It took a year from signing to city inspection/(completion) to repeatedly ask them to finish the job that I already paid for.

When I signed the contract, I asked for 2 pool lights and an umbrella holder built into the "sun shelf" part of the pool. They only gave me 1 pool light, which wasn't worth complaining about, and 2 umbrella holders. They fulfilled their promise for one holder, but the other one was unfinished and unwanted. I've been asking the owner to fix this issue since I noticed it in *** July 2022, before the pool's one-year warranty. I also informed them about a defective pool light, which they promptly fixed. The steps leading off the patio were also not done satisfactorily.

I'm complaining now because, as expected, I've been ignored again when making basic requests.

We signed a contract for a pool and spa with A-Better Pool and Spa Service, LLC in December . They told us we would have our pool by June 22. In March, their crew showed up and dug the initial hole for the pool installation. According to the contract, the installation process usually takes a few weeks from start to finish. The digging and concrete work went smoothly since the company handles both. However, things started going downhill after that. The plumbing took a really long time to be completed, and we had to change the tiles and pavers we initially chose, which ended up costing us more money and causing more trouble. Our project manager had poor communication skills and seemed unaware of the plan for our pool or what had been done and still needed to be done. When I asked why the process was so slow, he made excuses about rain, COVID, and lack of materials. I was patient and understanding for several months, but it became frustrating. The inspection failed three times, and the final inspection couldn't be done for some reason. Our pool has leaks, and there are many broken parts and issues with the travertine. It takes forever for the owner and his team to come and fix things properly. The last two times they came, it was only because we threatened to hire a lawyer. It is now November 2022, and we've been trying to get the owner to finish our pool, but it doesn't seem like it's happening anytime soon. The leakage team has come twice, but the first team fixed the wrong leak, and the second team only fixed one leak. We have been patient until now, but I'm done with being patient.

I met Bob G. and his sales team at A-Better Pool and Spa Company about a year ago. They came to my home on *** in *** and dug the hole for the pool. The contract said it would take 8-12 weeks to finish the installation. At first, things seemed to be going well. Different workers came to install the concrete and plumbing. But then, there were long periods of time when no one showed up to work on the pool, and communication became a problem. From June to October , I paid Bob G. almost $40,000 by check for the pool. When I asked why it was taking so long, he made excuses about rain, COVID, and not having enough materials. I was patient for several months, but Bob started talking down to me. Whenever I asked about the order of things or why the air conditioning unit wasn't level or too close to the pool's edge, he would imply that I didn't know what I was talking about. He even told me not to talk to the city/county inspectors who were supposed to check the work. That was a big warning sign for me. In October , I sent an email to Bob's company threatening to contact the ComplaintsBoard.com and others for help because he wasn't communicating or showing up. He responded right away and was good for a few more weeks, but then he went back to being condescending and stopped answering my messages. It's now February 2022, and I've tried to reach out to Bob five times since January 6, but he hasn't responded. I've included a timeline for more details.
