Back in June 2022 I noticed the paint on the hood of my white pearl car was bubbling. In July 2022, the paint started to peel.
I've seen many white Sorento's on the road with the same condition, some older, some newer.
One Kia dealership claims the wrong primer was used; went to an auto body shop and was told the same. Another Kia dealership said warranty expired for this issue.
I had a Kia spectrum for over ten years, purchased new and never had this problem. I had a 2013 Kia Sorento and didn't have this problem.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate Kia taking care of this problem. I fear the bubbling and peeling will start in other areas; I feel the entire car needs to be painted.
Hand washed my Snow White Metallic (Paint code SWP) 2017 KIA Sorento yesterday (10/8/22) and a sheet of paint about the size of the palm of my hand came off the hood. This is not normal, but no longer under warranty (36 months/36,000 miles). I've owned many automobiles in my lifetime and this is the first time I have seen this type of paint failure on a vehicle that is just barely 5 years old.
