Worthy.com Wedding set sold

My experience with Worthy and Rachel was a pleasant, professional experience.
While I wish I could have gotten more money for the wedding set, I still got more than their recommended amount.
I worked for several years in the high end jewelry business and I know the retail markup is huge! So my suggestion to anyone selling jewelry to remember that you're not going to get anywhere near retail value. If you keep your expectations under control, you will have a great experience and may even get more than you expected.
Worthy walks you through every step. You will never have to wonder what the next step in the process is as they are in constant communication with you.
If you're not comfortable with selling your jewelry on your own, (and there's many reasons why you shouldn't handle such a process on your own) I highly recommend Worthy to help you with your sale.

Worthy.com Thanks but no thanks

I sent them my great grandmother's supposed diamond wedding ring. I knew nothing about the ring. It looked to be at least a carat supposed diamond. A friend who has bought diamond rings in the past said if it is REAL, it could be worth $4,000-$5,000. So I gave them a shot.
I quickly got a response that they were sorry, the ring would not be in demand at their auction, so they were returning it.
That is fine. But I had no reason why, and I asked if they can at least tell me if the ring was too old or even REAL. You never know. Great-gramps could have gotten her a cubic zirconia. I would have least liked to have known why it was not even auction-worthy. So I would have to give the process 2-stars for being 'incomplete' in my estimate.
*** UPDATE
Shortly after posting this review, a representative from Worthy contacted me and did confirm that the diamond I sent in was NOT authentic. They apologized I was not told immediately. Thus everything on their end was done appropriately and professionally.

Worthy.com Pleasantly Surprised

I sat on my ring for years, not knowing with to do with it. I couldn't hand it down to my kids because it's cursed (ex-husband turned out to be a very bad man). But I knew re-selling it wasn't likely to bring much money. Eventually I got sick of having it and decided I'd take whatever I can get. I saw Worthy ads and checked out their BBB profile, and decided I would go for it with them. The whole process was simple, and they kept me informed every step of the way. It was exciting receiving the updates on what was happening. The hardest part was once it went up for auction-I was obsessed with seeing the bids in real time (pro-tip, the bids likely won't be great until the final day of the auction, so hang in there). But I ended up getting a lot more than thought I could. It's actually the equivalent to about 4 child support payments-comes in handy since my ex is over a year behind in payments.

So long story short, I never imagined I'd have to sell my beloved engagement ring to make up for missed child support payments. But I'm so glad I did! The weight of having that cursed token in my house is gone.

Worthy.com An easy, excellent, fair experience from start to finish!

I had never attempted to sell jewelry before. Over the years, I had lost my Diamond Certificate on my 30 year old ring. I didn't trust local people (without a recommendation from someone I trusted) so I looked online and found Worthy. I read about their Company, how they handled the selling process, and reviews from happy Customers...Worthy seemed very fair in their approach by all that spoke of them. Fair was what I was looking for. They made it very easy for me from sending a Fedx Driver to my door to pick my ring up (the whole process was insured by Worthy), keeping me in the loop on every step from the pickup, arrival, cleaning, certifying, and then gave me the final approval on my auction price (which I made my own choice that was close to their appraisal). I got the price I wanted at the end of the 72 hour auction credited to my checking account in just 2 days and my 18% fee was quite fair for Worthy doing everything for me! The Staff was kind and helpful through the whole excellent process. I would recommend to anyone with Jewelry they are considering to sell...you would feel comfortable and fairly treated with Worthy. Thank you Worthy!

Worthy.com Easy and safe way to sell your jewelry

I would recommend Worthy. You will be happy with this process if you have reasonable expectations for your jewelry. Meaning you are likely not going to get what your item might appraise for ? there has to be room for everyone to make money.

Overall I am happy with everything. Some things that went really well were: the overall process, the communication, the shipping was very easy and the automated emails and texts let me know what was happening at all the steps. They GIA grading took longer than expected but they informed me of that. The auction itself was easy to set-up and see where the bids were coming in and how much.

I think there are some small things that I would recommend to Worthy just to make things even better and help eliminate customer questions:

1) Clarify if they want GIA certificates: I had one. I followed the shipping instructions and didn't send any paperwork. Was later told the GIA would have been helpful to have
2) The auction length: The site indicated most were 48 hours. Mine was 72. I'm not sure how they decide the length but it would be helpful to know the length at the point you are setting up the auction.
3) Any promotional offers: if you sign up for a promotional offer ? follow up to confirm with them. It would be awesome if there was a place in your account to see what you are signed up for, or even better if it was integrated into the screens where you set-up your auction

Worthy.com Selling my wedding ring set

I was a little nervous sending my ring to a company in New York but I looked up reviews for this company and they were 4.5 stars so I decided to give it a try.
One of the best things about this process is receiving emails and texts along EVERY step of the process. It really put my mind at ease.
On 10/1/2022 FedEx picked up my ring. On 10/5/2022 it was received into their facilities. They requested my approval to "unmount" the diamond so they could get an accurate estimate. On 10/5/2055 then informed me the ring was being unmounted. On 10/6/2022 my ring arrived to IGI grading labs for grading. On 10/11/2022 I was informed my ring was being graded. On 10/13/2022 I received this in email. "Our lab finished grading your ring. We're currently processing and uploading the grading information to our system." On 10/14/2022 in email: 'We are excited to say that we are ready for auction! Your item has been cleaned and professionally photographed showing off every aspect. You can view the detailed selling description and photographs before heading to your very own live auction!"
On 10/14/2022 my ring went up for auction. On 10/19/2022 the auction ended. There were 308 bidders and I received an email if I wanted to accept this price with full discloser of their cleaning and selling costs. My percentage was 18%.
I accepted their offer and the money was deposited to my account on 10/21/2022.
I would HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking to sell jewlery!

Worthy.com Worthy sent a jewelry box to my home and I sent them my ring

Worthy sent a jewelry box to my home and I sent them my ring. After a couple of days, they informed me that they couldn't sell the ring. I called them to request the return of my ring, but they said I needed to verify my identity and sign a release before they could send it back. I explained that they had sent the box to my address specifically for me to send my ring for evaluation. Now they are saying that the ring isn't mine until I verify my identity. This feels like a scam! It has been 8 or 9 days and they still refuse to return my ring. They are clearly not trustworthy, but rather worthless. Can anyone help me?

A while after my divorce, I was ready to do something with my diamond solitaire engagement ring. I considered having it remounted in a different setting or use, but I am not a “jewelry” person. I saw an ad for Worthy on television and researched the company and independent review sources like BBB and others. Shipping my ring to an unknown entity is scary! But the reviews are solid. I started the process to ship my ring. *** was very helpful when my schedule changed and I had to change my pickup time/day only a few hours before. After my ring was received, *** kept me posted at each stage with regular updates. This is very reassuring when your diamond is in someone else’s possession. After cleaning, photographing, and having a new GIA report completed, *** advised me of the recommended reserve price. I agreed to their recommendation. It was fun to check the auction listing link that *** sent me a few times. Then I got busy with other things and was pleased when I got ***’s email that my ring had sold just above reserve. I highly recommend using Worthy if you decide to sell a fine piece of jewelry. It was a great experience. I should receive my payment via ACH deposit soon.

Worthy.com I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end!

I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end! The staff at the company I worked with were amazing and took the time to explain each step of the process and answer all of my questions. They went above and beyond during the auction process. I was able to set the reserve price, so I never had to worry about getting less than what I expected. In fact, my bridal set sold for well over that amount! The money was deposited into my account within 2 days. Their fees are very reasonable, especially considering that they cover all the expenses, including shipping, insurance, grading, photography, and provide excellent customer service. I highly recommend them!

Worthy.com I had a great experience

I had a great experience. The entire process, from shipping the ring to the deposit arriving in my bank account, only took 9 days and was super easy. I was also given updates at every step of the process. Would definitely recommend! One small complaint--once I signed up on the website, I was emailed and texted multiple times to make sure I didn't have any questions or lingering doubts that kept me from shipping the ring in. I didn't, I was just waiting until I had the right box to ship the ring in. It came across as pushy and annoying. Otherwise had a very positive experience.

Worthy.com my whole experience, from start to finish, with Worthy was amazing

my whole experience, from start to finish, with Worthy was amazing. Neil was patient, and answered all my questions in the beginning, and was very responsive when i decided to get the process started. Kendall managed my auction, answered every single concern and question promptly, and was always reassuring. When the outcome of my auction exceeded my expectations, i worked with Angelina, who was extremely efficient and got my funds to me quickly. I will absolutely recommend them to friends and family, and use their services again if the need arises. Many thanks to Neil, Kendall, and Angelina for taking such great care of me.

Worthy.com Worthy" truly lives up to its name!

"Worthy" truly lives up to its name! They have proven themselves to be trustworthy and reliable. Travis convinced me to choose Worthy; he kept me updated and provided instructions throughout the entire mailing and selling process. He sent me an email to confirm that the ring had been received and then sent it for appraisal. Kendall handled the sale and was excellent at building confidence through email communication. I was informed every step of the way, from "Sent to appraiser" to "Placed in auction" and even "You have the option to counter". Finally, I received the exciting news that "Your ring has been sold!" and was assured that my payment would be sent in the mail, arriving within two to three business days. Thank you, Worthy! You managed to sell my ring for more than double the offers I received from two other businesses. Travis and Kendall definitely deserve a raise!

Worthy.com After my divorce, I wanted to do something with my diamond solitaire engagement ring

After my divorce, I wanted to do something with my diamond solitaire engagement ring. I thought about getting it remounted or finding another use for it, but I'm not really into jewelry. Worthy.com This has been a months long disaster, do not trust Worthy!

This past April, my daughter decided to auction her engagement ring to help with a down payment for a house. Including the diamond, it was appraised for approximately $8000. I agreed to help her with the process because she had just had a baby, and we thought it would sell for a fair price.

I had seen ads online, and heard ads on podcasts, for Worthy. They sounded reputable and we didn’t find bad reviews online. We decided to do it.

We sent them the ring for them to auction. They told us we would get more for an auction if the diamond was removed and graded. We agreed, and was assured that the ring would be treated with card. Then, they put the ring up of auction. It didn’t sell, so they said they would put the diamond back in the ring, and send it back to my daughter.

When she received the ring, she saw that it had been damaged. We sent pictures to them, and they had us sent the ring back to them to repair.

We were told that during the repair they broke one of the prongs, and that it may have compromised the integrity of the ring.

They asked if we wanted financial compensation. They offered us $275. Or, they would send the ring and the diamond back with a $100 visa gift card to have the ring repaired.

We priced similar settings locally, and found that the exact setting can be found at Jared jewelers for $2100.

They came back and said they could have their “expert jewelers“ remake the ring and refused to compensate my daughter financially, so that she can buy a replacement setting. We said no, that’s not acceptable. Why, after 2 complete failures, should we trust their “expert jewelers” to “remake” the ring?

It’s now the end of August, we are still waiting for a reply. They still have my daughter’s damaged setting, and her diamond.

Recommendation: DON'T TRUST THEM!

Worthy.com Worthy: A Trustworthy Place to Sell Your Jewelry

So, I had this ring from my previous marriage, and it was a real beauty. It had a 2.33 ct center diamond and 2.88 ct diamonds next to it. I wanted to sell it, but I was really nervous about sending it off to Worthy. I had checked around and got some really low estimates for it, so I wasn't sure if it was worth the risk. But then I talked to Rachel at Worthy, and she was amazing. She explained the whole process to me and made me feel a lot more comfortable about it.

After I sent the ring off, Ornella called me to tell me what the estimate was. We talked about a minimum price that I was willing to accept, and then the ring went to auction. I was really happy to find out that it sold for more than I expected! But even more than that, I was really impressed with how Worthy kept me informed throughout the whole process. They were really great about letting me know what was going on every step of the way.

Now that I've had such a positive experience with Worthy, I know that I'll be sending them other jewelry that I haven't worn in years. I'm really glad that I took the chance and sent my ring to them, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking to sell their jewelry.

Worthy.com Worthy Jewelry Auctions: A Hassle-Free Way to Sell Your Bling!

I gotta say, if you're lookin' to sell some jewelry, Worthy is the way to go! They'll hook you up with a free mailin' package so you can send your bling off to New York to get graded and photographed. And let me tell ya, they keep you in the loop every step of the way with emails and texts.

Once your jewelry is all set, they put it up for auction for a full 48 hours and you can watch the bids roll in. If the price meets or exceeds what you were hopin' for, then congrats, your jewelry is sold! But if not, you can choose to sell it for the highest bid or get it back.

I actually sold my engagement and wedding bands through Worthy and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I got for 'em. And yeah, they do take a cut of the highest bid as a service fee, but it's all good. Mine was 14%.

And get this, they even call to confirm payment info and process, and the money was in my account in less than 5 days after the sale. Can't beat that kind of service, ya know?

All in all, I'm super happy with Worthy and would definitely recommend 'em to anyone lookin' to sell their jewelry.

Worthy.com Disappointing Experience with Worthy: Low Bid and Unprofessional Communication

I recently decided to sell my ring and chose to use Worthy. The sales representative informed me that I could potentially receive anywhere from $20,000 to $28,000 based on the information I provided from my appraisal. I decided to send my ring in and was contacted by a representative named who helped manage the auction process. At one point, I almost changed my mind and asked for my ring back, but refused to send it back to me.

The auction began and I received a bid of $3,000, then $9,000. The final bid was $10,000, which was much lower than the initial estimate I was given. I was disappointed with the final bid, as my appraisal valued the ring at $60,000. While I understood that I would not receive the full appraisal value, I was hoping for more than $20,000.

After the auction ended, I contacted and requested that my ring be returned to me. However, I received an email from stating that he had received an offer for $28,000 and that I had missed out on the opportunity by declining the $10,000 bid. I was frustrated with the situation and felt that was being passive-aggressive in his email.

Overall, my experience with Worthy was not what I had hoped for. While the initial estimate was promising, the final bid was much lower than expected. Additionally, the communication from was not professional and left me feeling frustrated. I would not recommend using Worthy for selling valuable items.

Worthy.com Worthy Review: Lost Ring, Bad Service, and Low Offer

This company is really bad at their job. I sent them four rings to sell, but they messed up big time. They put all four rings together in one package and wanted to sell them for $3500, but when I asked if that was just for the engagement ring or all four, they said it was for all four. I told them no way and asked for my rings back. But then they took forever to return them to me, and when I finally got through to a real person, they told me that my engagement ring had already been sold by accident and that they lost my wedding band. I was so mad!

I had to keep calling them to get updates, and it was a huge hassle. They told me to claim on my insurance, but my insurance said that wasn't possible. My engagement ring was worth $11,500 and my wedding band was worth $1,600, but Worthy only offered me $2,870 for the engagement ring they sold without my permission and $800 for the wedding band they lost. That's not even close to what I paid for them!

I've been trying to get in touch with a manager at Worthy, but they're not responding. I'm so frustrated with Lindsay and her bad attitude. I've even talked to lawyers and my insurance company to try to get some help. This is just the beginning of a long and stressful process.

Worthy.com Worthy.com Review: Is it Worth Your Time and Money?

I've been hearing a lot about Worthy.com lately, so I decided to give it a try and see what all the fuss was about. I have to say, I wasn't overly impressed with the service. It's basically just another way to sell your jewelry quickly for cash, similar to going to a pawnbroker or using one of those "we buy gold" places you see on TV.

Now, I'm not saying that Worthy.com is a bad service, but I don't think it's anything special either. They claim to have hundreds of buyers, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get top dollar for your jewelry. In fact, I was pretty disappointed with the appraisal I received for my diamond ring. It was way lower than I expected, and didn't even meet the scrap value of the diamonds.

After they rush to get your item, they'll give you an appraisal and then let the auction run. Maybe you have an amazing one-of-a-kind piece that will sell high, but even then, I'd bet you'd do better on eBay with good pictures and a great sales/writeup. I've had success selling jewelry on eBay before, and I think it's a better option than using Worthy.com.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you want your item back after the auction, don't expect a quick return. It can take a while to get your item back, so be prepared to wait.

Overall, I think Diamond Buyers International is a better service than Worthy.com. I had a much better experience with them, and their sales team was much more informative and helpful. They explained their service in a way that was easy to understand, and I felt like I was in good hands.

If you do decide to use Worthy.com, just be aware that you might not get top dollar for your jewelry. It's a quick and easy way to sell your items, but there are other options out there that might be better for you. Good luck!

Worthy.com Beware of Worthy: My Experience with Diamond Evaluation and Resale

I recently had my ring evaluated by a friend of my mother who happens to be a diamond dealer. He knows the ins and outs of the diamond industry and always buys and sells diamonds at a price that is closer to their actual value. He told me that most jewelers or companies charge triple the price of what a diamond is actually worth, and many people only realize this after they have already spent a fortune on a diamond that has no true value if they ever need to resell it. So, if you're reading this, my advice is to find a direct diamond broker who can sell you a diamond at a price that is closer to its actual value. You'll probably get a bigger, better clarity, and more awesome diamond from them than you ever will from any store or company like Worthy.

My mother's friend told me that even though the ring from the store cost around $14,000, it should get around $2,500-$3,500 if I ever decide to resell it. I was shocked when I heard those numbers because they were so little compared to the original price tag. However, I trusted his expertise and decided to send my ring to Worthy to see what the market could hold. To my surprise, they suggested a price of only $850 after their analysis, which is absolutely ridiculous! And that's before their 20% fee cut, by the way.

In my opinion, Worthy doesn't give you much more than a pawnshop. So, if you want to save yourself time and money, try to find an independent diamond broker who can give you a fair price for your diamond. Don't make the same mistake I did by trusting a company like Worthy.

Worthy.com SO NOT WORTHY

NOTE: LONG REVIEW BUT HONEST
I sent Worthy the following; a 4ct. Unheated Sapphire platinum & Diamond ring, 2 natural fancy yellow diamond rings and a Tsar era pendant made by Kochli. (less than 5% of all Sapphires are unheated). Here's how Worthy works; they assume you don't know the value of your items; It starts there. (With 20 years in Jewelry & a GIA Diamonds grad; I wasn't an ideal Worthy candidate.)

Upon receipt of my Items they informed me that they felt the Sapphire significant enough to send to GIA for a country of Origin report. (A 4 week process). I know they were hoping it was from Kashmir (making it more valuable or Burma). But anyone can look at it who knows gems and see it wasn't Kashmir but it was their money. I assumed (wrongfully) that in the meantime they would auction the diamonds. We were not selling the items in a lot so why wait? I send numerous emails inquiring about the diamonds and most went unanswered until finally the Sapphire returned and they had me make an appointment for a 15 minute phone conversation to set the auction prices. When Melissa Miller called my first question was logically, Where was the Sapphire's origin? She didn't know, had to get report (on hold twice; time 2:35 seconds). It wasn't Burma or Kashmir and here is where the deal went south. She referred to it as a 3.24 ct sapphire set with two round diamonds. It's 3.92 (I weighed it myself and GIA has certified it as 4 ct., I had mailed Worthy the GIA copy). And it is set with two emerald cut diamonds; not rounds. I then assumed she had the wrong stone/ring. I did not allow it to go to auction.

I then asked about the larger yellow diamond. She referred to its clarity as VVS2 (a really good grade) It isn't. It's an I (imperfect) at best. She really wanted to rush me through the clarity grade report pointing out this was only a 15 min. Consult. You have a very short window to decide after waiting weeks. But how can you as a consumer assign value without knowing the clarity? It is a fast hustle. Worthy wanted to set the reserve at $1,200; I insisted it be $1,700. Of my 4 items that was the only one I let them auction. It got a high bid of $636 and 48 views (it has gotten more on EBay). Upon mulling over our Sapphire discussion; wrong size stone and wrong setting. I emailed them and said I wanted my 4 items back ASAP.

I did get them back in three days but here is the scary part; they shipped them FedEX and the total value on the insurance was $1,800. THAT WOULD NOT EVEN COVER THE SCRAP VALUE OF THE GOLD AND PLATINUM. (Actual retail of all 4 items was $32k.) Keep that in mind, Your items are shipped back not even covered by wholesale pricing. Am so glad they didn't get lost. They will tell you the item is sent to GIA but on every listing there isn't a GIA cert but IGI; HUGE DIFF in the trade. You will be in limbo as long as 4/5 weeks after they receive your item before it's auctioned. Bottom line; if you don't have a recent appraisal, know the grade of your diamonds and are willing to take 1/3 of the value (wholesale) you would be better off at a pawn shop or your local jewelers. But, If money doesn't matter and you want quick cash, Worthy may be a great choice. Hope this helps someone not get ripped off.

Worthy.com Service

I was sent a confirmation email that my jewelry was available for pickup @ fed ex. I went to pick up & FedEx stated that they never received the package. Now worthy is telling me I have to pay $50 per item to get my jewelry sent back. . How can I take legal action against worthy for attempting to steal my jewelry? FedEx stated that a shipping label was created but my package never moved & that’s why it was not there for me to pick it up. The email I received from worthy stated that my jewelry was there for me to pick up.

Claimed loss: I sent them a diamond necklace that was valued @ $5000.00 more than 20 years ago. Also another gold chain that was valued @ $1000.00. I have a certificate on the diamond necklace but I did not send it with it just in case

Desired outcome: Worthy can pay me the total known value of my jewelry or that can send it back & hope they didn’t attempt to replace my certified diamond because like I said I do have the certificate

Worthy.com Ring that was returned

I sent worthy a 2.50-carat oval solitaire and I got back a lab-created diamond. I just got off the phone with the appraisal people who appraised my ring before I sent it to Worthy and they said that the ring they appraised and listed on my appraisal was a naturally mined diamond and that is what was sent to Worthy so something is wrong. They said that they would never switch out a stone but after reading the reviews I am not so sure wish I had never sent them my ring it looks like now I am out 10,000 dollars.

Worthy.com Disappointing Experience Selling Jewelry with Worthy.com: Lack of Appreciation for True Value

Worthy.com is not the place to go if you want to sell your valuable jewelry. They don't seem to appreciate the hard work and skill that goes into creating a beautiful piece of jewelry, especially when it comes to diamonds. It's disappointing that they don't recognize the true worth of these items.

It's frustrating that they give false hope to people who are looking to sell their jewelry. They claim to have knowledge and expertise, but it's clear that they don't. It's a shame that people waste their time with them.

Overall, I would not recommend Worthy.com if you're looking to sell your jewelry. They don't seem to have a true understanding of the value of these items, and it's not worth your time to work with them.

Worthy.com Worthy: The Honest and Reliable Way to Sell Your Jewelry

So, I had this ring, right? It was a 1.25ct. Champagne and white diamond ring. I thought it was worth a lot of money, but when I tried to sell it at auction, they told me it wouldn't do well. They basically said it was worthless. Can you believe that? I mean, come on, it's a diamond ring! I was so disappointed and felt like I had wasted my time.

But then I heard about Worthy. I was hesitant at first, but I decided to give it a try. And let me tell you, I am so glad I did. The process was so easy and straightforward. I just sent in my ring, and they took care of everything else.

The best part was that they actually valued my ring for what it was worth. They didn't try to lowball me or tell me it was worthless. They gave me a fair price, and I was able to sell my ring without any hassle.

I would definitely recommend Worthy to anyone looking to sell their jewelry. They are honest, reliable, and they actually care about their customers. Don't waste your time with other auction sites that don't value your jewelry. Go with Worthy, and you won't be disappointed.

They fraudulantly pose as the DMV via a website called Needtags.com. They state they are a partner but when you their website looks like the CA DMV. They fraudulently pose as the DMV via a website called Needtags.com. They state they are a partner with the DMV but told the rep their website looks like the CA DMV. The rep stated I should read my websites closer next time. I was told the $99 payment is non refundable. They are a fraudulent organization and offer a service you can do yourself without having to pay $99.

Thought it was DMV website and paid $50 more than the actual due. Didn't notice until completed that it wasn't gov't website! No contact available! Like many of the other complaints -- I too have been bamboozled. I typed in "Renew tags DMV" in search bar and fell for the link that mimicked the DMV. I normally have my renewal notice with me, but didn't this time and checked online to see if I could do it by plate #. The site looked so much like the DMV that I didn't think anything when I was just focusing on the data entry of the plate and last 4 of the VIN. I wish I would have listened to my gut when I saw it was $294, that seemed off but I saw there was fees and because I didn't have my registration renewal I couldn't see if they 'type' of fees matched. So I paid it. But it wasn't until the end that I realized I was on the WRONG SITE! I knew the second I called/emailed that it was a scam. The phone number tells you (per covid) to use email, but the email "***" is not a valid email Per Outlook. I am requesting a full refund of $294. I have paid my registration with another Credit Card.

This is both deceptive and, I'd argue, fraudulent. When I typed in *** this is where I was immediately directed. I want a refund. This is not the DMV site. It charges more and yet the site uses the logo of the DMV and does not clearly state you are paying extra that you don't need to pay. I can't even see this is any advantage over the DMV. I'd like a refund.

Business Response Thank you for the opportunity to reply to your correspondence dated November 2. We do apologize that the complainant felt mislead by our website. NeedTags strives to provide full transparency and above par customer service. We are not the DMV and make no claims to that effect. NeedTags is a delegated provider for the California Department of Motor Vehicles, authorized to process motor vehicle transactions on the department's behalf. We operate under Occupational License #***, and can be found listed on the DMV website at the following webpage:*** (please scroll to the center of the page to see our official logo and website link). Our registration renewal user interface is connected to the California Department of Motor Vehicles in "real-time". It is part of what makes NeedTags highly efficient, allowing for new registration cards and stickers to be delivered much faster than transactions completed directly through the DMV. All renewal and replacement orders are completed the instant the transactions are submitted for processing. An extremely useful registration e-Card (proof of current registration) is available for download immediately after checkout, and free replacement orders are offered to our customers should there be any issue with USPS delivery. As such, renewal and replacement fees transmitted to the DMV can only be refunded through the DMV. We understand that mistakes happen and disclaimers (agreement to terms) are sometimes missed. In an ongoing effort to provide excellent customer service, the complainant's service fees will be refunded. We encourage the complainant to contact our customer support team at *** for a welcomed opportunity to discuss his transaction concerns further. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Website is misleading, and is the first website that comes up in a Google search before the actual DMV. Open Google, type in CA DMV, and this website comes up before the real CA DMV. If not careful, any reasonable person can mistake this Need Tags website for the actual CA DMV. This is deceitful & deceptive business practices and should be investigated.

Worthy.com Disappointing Experience with Worthy.com: Overestimated Value & Poor Customer Service

So, I tried Worthy.com to sell my ring. They gave me an estimate that was 7 times higher than what they actually sold it for. I was pretty disappointed, to be honest. When I reached out to them about it, they didn't respond for weeks, even after I followed up more than once. It was really frustrating.

To make matters worse, when they finally did get back to me, they only offered me a $25 gift card as compensation for my trouble. I mean, come on. That's not even close to what I was hoping for.

Overall, I'm really unhappy with my experience with Worthy. And I'm not alone - I've read a lot of reviews from other people who had similar issues. It's definitely not a company I would recommend.

Worthy.com I contacted Worthy about a diamond ring I had and after research, I believed they were a good business to sell my jewelry

I contacted Worthy about a diamond ring I had and after research, I believed they were a good business to sell my jewelry. Worthy was very communicative at first, sending updates about receiving the ring and beginning the appraisal process. As soon as they determined my diamond ring wasnt big enough for them to want to sell, they sent an email saying they would return it to me and asking me to confirm the address. I did and havent heard from them since. I tried to follow up twice and they have apparently ignored my messages and have never given me any information in the weeks since. The ring has not been delivered to me and no one is returning my emails. Its very suspicious they communicated consistently about getting my ring and then cut off communication completely when they decided to return it. I really just want my ring back and dont appreciate being treated in this way. I think people should watch out for this company!

We sent a bridal set and a bracelet to worthy.com to see how much they would buy the jewelry for. After they received them they told us there was no demand for my items and didnt offer enough for us to sell them. We went through the process to have them returned several times after being told we had to confirm our return address every time. Now they are refusing to speak to us about our return and they have had the items for almost 2 months now and refuse to send them back. I would like my items to be returned to me in the exact same shape in which the company received them. I have documents on everything from before it was shipped.

I sent my ring in to be auctioned off as part of their business platform. I was not satisfied with the offer so I asked the ring to be returned. Since then, Ive just been pushed off and ignored. When I call or email no one replies but when they do reply they say you need to respond to the verification email that is never sent. Theyre making it all about the verification email and its not even coming in my junk mail or anything and Ive called and emailed over and over and I cant get my $5000 ring sent back to me.

They received .75 marquis *** 14k plum gold. This had been confirmed by 3 jewelers in my area. They stated they weren't able to purchase due to low demand. They mailed it back to me. At *** I filmed me myself moving the *** from their return to packaging into the packaging of another online resale jeweler. They just called me to tell me the center stone is moissanite! Worthy stole my diamond and unmounted it without consent. This will get rectified or I will take legal action!

Worthy.com I *** a $9,600 ring set to worthy.com on May 26, 2022 and the box arrived 'empty'

I *** a $9,600 ring set to worthy.com on May 26, 2022 and the box arrived 'empty'. A claim by Worthy.com was opened with *** but got denied because the box was not tampered with and wrapped so well. Worthy said they were insured by *** of London but they are not. They said *** also denied the claim since it was not wrapped well. Which is it? I have photos and a witness of me wrapping the ring, he wen to *** with me, the girl there shook the box and heard there was something in there and weighted it to be one pound. Worthy's solution was to file with my homeowners insurance which only has $1,000 coverage, I did not get a separate ryder for this ring since I was selling it to pay for my cats lung cancer vet bills. My insurance advised me to to file with them as my rates would go up and it wasn't my fault this ring went missing once it reached worthy offices. Since May their ratings have gone down, something isn't right.

I sent my jewelry for their standard service to be examined and contacted regarding a price they thought it would receive at auction. They gave me their auction estimates. It was too low compared to the original cost of the jewelry, so I requested all my jewelry be sent back to me. They have yet to send back any of my jewelry. It has been over a month. When I contacted them to ask why my jewelry has not yet been sent back, they replied: "We do not send out returns until all items on your account are complete." There is nothing to 'complete' on the account. I denied their services and they should be sending my jewelry back promptly with complimentary shipping as agreed when I sent it to Worthy.

My auction was ended on September 29, 2022 but I did not take an offer. Till now I have not received my product back yet. Also, when I talked to them at the beginning, agent has never told me that it will take *** business days to get my package back. This is such a big mistake and cause me a damage of opportunity to sell else where. I need this to return to me by Friday October 14. 2022.

I listed an item on worthy.com for sale. The offer that I received was too low, so I requested that my necklace [Necklace #***] be returned to me. On 9/15/22, I received a confirmation that it would be returned. I was told: current return processing timeframe is 7 - 10 business days during which time your jewelry will be carefully inspected and packaged for return. I called three times between 9/23/22 and 10/17/22 and each time I was told that the return processing is taking longer than expected. Based on the tracking ID provided ***, Fed Ex has not yet received the item. The appraisal that I received from a local jeweler was $775. I would like Worthy to refund me $775 (no processing fee).

Worthy.com On May 9th, I started the process with getting my bridal ring set sent off to Worthy and having it potentially appraised

On May 9th, I started the process with getting my bridal ring set sent off to Worthy and having it potentially appraised. I had a missing stone in the band and I was worried that would be an issue. The agent that I spoke with assured me that would not be an issue. On May 14th, I printed off the shipping label and shipped it with the preferred shipper they suggested to me in the email. I packed the ring tightly in seran wrap and sat and packed both items in the package. When I got to the store, the agent needed me to email her the shipping label again, which I did. The package arrived to Worthy I am assumed on May 17th. I got an email I believe on the 19th telling me it did not meet their standards and they would be mailing it back. When I received it I only got the ring AND NO BAND! I have been talking to people for weeks and no answer, no help! I am livid! I am being brushed off! I am about to make a complaint to the *** attorney general because this is ridiculous! I need answers

Worthy sold my bridal set and has yet to forward the proceeds. The bridal set auctioned for $14,278 on 7/29/22. It is now past the maximum days indicated for an ACH transferring the funds to occur. Have called twice, supposedly a manager is calling me back. Their support just repeats placating information. They claim they are backed up but its starting to sound fishy. Would be great to know if this company is running a scam or are outright thieves. Re auction:

I sold my ring with Worthy. Everything went well. I was told my payment would be in my account 2-5 business days. I was told this in July 27th. It is now August 8th. I called Worthy and the only information they gave me was that there is a delay and they cant give me a date of when I will receive payment for my ring.

Worthy.com My ring had misinformation on the auction, which I believe also led to a lower asking price

My ring had misinformation on the auction, which I believe also led to a lower asking price. When I noticed this, I complained to *** and he didnt respond to most of my emails, calls, or texts, and didnt correct the issue. The only thing he was willing to do was add a picture of the ring and information regarding the additional sapphire. The listing still had my ring as .91 carats when its 1 and 5/8 carats. I even sent the receipt to ***. Im absolutely livid. My ring was given at a discount, and for at least half the auction, buyers couldnt see what the ring looked like or that it had a sapphire. My ring never showed it was a ***. All of the these issues were reported via email and text.My ring was bought for 8k and Worthy sold it for $700. I was never given an option to have my ring returned, although I was told that after the auction I could choose if I wished to sell at that price. They did the auction, sold it, and I was never consulted if the price was okay. I have the original receipt and all correspondence with Worthy.

My 0.7 carat solitaire diamond ring was sold at auction 7/29/22. Worthy associate *** emailed me to inform me that I would be paid within 2-5 business days. As this time frame has passed, I contacted this business, only to be told by customer service representatives that they could not help me, that the financial services department was unavailable, and that there are no managers available to speak with. Failure to provide agreed compensation for item auctioned and failure to further communicate regarding the failure of payment will lead me to seek legal action if this issue is not resolved.

Worthy.com I submitted a 3 carat ring for an evaluation with worthy

I submitted a 3 carat ring for an evaluation with worthy. I had intended to sell through their website. They did everything they could wanna see in the pictures of my ring. They contacted me multiple times and I sent the ring to them assuming this was legitimate. I heard from them constantly when they got the ring and said that there was pictures and that they were getting it ready. However once I looked and found out about all the complaints on your website complaintsboard.com I got nervous since they stopped all communications after receiving this item probably worth over $10,000. I then contacted them telling them I wanted my ring back. In response I got a continual automated response that they will be returning at the 7 to 10 days into verify my address when I would return these email I got the same automated response and have not heard from anyone . I am beyond disappointed the original man who contacted me *** said he lived in *** and understood where the original jeweler who had made my ring and *** lived. I feel completely scammed and taken advantage of. I needed this money to pay for my daughters college and graduation party. However now I cannot get anybody to return a phone call and I cannot get my item back in the same manner that I shipped to them. Im asking for a simple courtesy and my item back

I received a text stating my ring is still at *** store waiting to be picked up and it has not been picked up. I called Worthy again today, they are stating they need me to sign another release. I am not signing another release when I have signed the same release over and over. I just want my ring back to me asap, currently I have been on hold with Worthy with no answers. Worthy.com I have not received payment

I have not received payment. I was promised payment for the ale of my ring within 2-5 business dates. It sold Friday, July 29. I called Worthy and they said that it was "just now processing, sorry for the delay, you can expect payment in a week or so". That is not what I was promised. Worthy.com I shipped two rings to Worthy.com for potential resale

I shipped two rings to Worthy.com for potential resale. They were shipped on October 3 and received by Worthy on October 4th. One of the rings was evaluated the same day, in-house, with a very low "Quick Sale" offer sent to me the same day, October 4th. I declined the offer and asked for my ring to be shipped back. A *** shipping label was created on October 5th. My ring has yet to be actually shipped. I inquired multiple times and was told it would be shipped back between "*** business days." We are now on the 13th business day and Worthy seems to be having difficulty shipping my ring back for unknown reasons. I have gotten the response of "Our shipping department has informed us there will be a slight delay in the processing and shipment time for the return of your item(s). Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to make sure all items are returned as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologize for this unanticipated delay and the return exceeding the original timeframe we advised you. We will send you an email with a *** tracking number once your jewelry has been shipped out." There is no reason for this delay. The ring was not sent to be graded, cleaned or unmounted. It was evaluated in-house. There is no reason that this ring should not already be back in my possession. The other ring is still being evaluated for auction, which has also been a much longer process than they make it out to be in their advertising. I fear that I may have the same difficulty with either getting it returned or payment if it is auctioned.

I forwarded a tennis bracelet to Worthy (Bracelet #***) that I purchased from *** Jewelers on November 19th (Item #***, which is no longer sold) an order which cost me a total of $1,573.20. I created a profile on Worthy's site and provided any associated photographs of the item along with a photograph of the receipt from *** Jewelers indicating the original purchase price and the total spent on the item. This package was forwarded to Worthy on August 5th 2022 via *** tracking #***. I received an email from Worthy stating that they had received the item on August 8th, 2022 and on the same day received an email stating that "we have determined there is currently not enough demand for it in our marketplace." I thought to myself, fair enough, there isn't any demand in the market for relatively new diamond tennis bracelet that hadn't been worn throughout the pandemic, as long as the company returns it I can have its value assessed elsewhere. The return address should have been *** Shipping Center ***, the location that I utilized to initial ship the item. I was provided return tracking #*** which indicated that the item's shipment had been canceled by the Sender and delivered to an address in ***, . I reside in ***. I have attempted to contact the business via their contact form on their site but haven't received a response via email since August 8th. If the original item cannot be found I would like to be reimbursed the purchase price. This is the first and last time I will use an internet based Jewelry appraisal site.

I sent my diamond, platinum wedding band via *** with the shipping label they provided on 5/12/22 to be evaluated and potentially sold by Worthy. They confirmed receipt of my ring on 5/13/22. A scheduled call to speak with a consultant on 5/16/22 did not happen; they did not call, I emailed to inquire and there was no response. 5/17/22 I received an email notification that they are not able to sell my ring and will return it to my address. Shortly after, I received another email to confirm a *** pick up location, which I responded to. I followed up with 3 more emails thereafter to ask for status and updates without any reply. I also called them but got the message that their operation is currently closed. When I login to the Worthy account, all I see is pending return with no details. I am concerned that my ring, valued at $3,750 (certificate image attached from the original company we purchased from), could be altered without my knowledge during this time delay. Before getting notified of their inability to sell my ring, they sent an email asking for permission to unmount the diamonds from my ring for examination, which I did not respond to as the only option was the approval button and I did not approve. I was not comfortable with their request when there was no guarantee from Worthy on selling or buying my ring. $3750 may seem like a small amount to a jewelry company but it is a substantial amount to me. I feel scammed by a company that claims to help people like me after a devastating divorce (I found them through an online article on advice post divorce). My desired resolution is a payment for my ring that was not returned and the stress caused by the lack of integrity of this company. I would greatly appreciate your help, Complaintsboard.com to facilitate a fair resolution.

By *** Express insured (a service offered by Worthy.com), I sent 17 pieces of fine gold jewelry from my mother's Estate to Worthy Receipt from *** shows June 21, 2022, delivery (#***)The package contained (according document of the receipt by Worthy): "6 Rings, 6 Other, 3 Earrings, (Diamond) Bracelet, 2 CT *** As soon as these were received, I reached out and was told that it would take about a week before someone would call me to discuss the results of the "evaluation" process and the various avenues available to me vis-a-vis selling these jewelry pieces. I never heard from anyone after this conversation.I waited exactly 3 weeks. No call or EM. On July 12, 2022, I called the company again. This time I spoke with a woman named *** During this call, I explained I couldn't get on my on account on their website. The page kept kicking me off within seconds. I did, however, notice that there were some items that were in an area called "quick sale." Unfortunately, I could not view this for more that 3-4 seconds before it booted me off. *** said, "That's curious, as I can see your account from my computer."I not only tried to see my account from my iMac (2021 version) through Safari, I tried through Chrome and Firefox, as well, to no avail. I even used our MacBook Pro. Again, it proved futile. As I continued my conversation with ***, I inquired about the "quick sale" I saw- she placed me on hold and came back saying that 3 of my items could be sold in a "quick sale" for $900.00. I did not even care to hear which ones at that juncture. I started to feel very uncomfortable about this. She answered more questions, and I was feeling more concerned. I wanted my mother's jewelry back. She said, "No problem. We will send you an EM w/ a *** location near you. Approve & send back." No such EM arrived. This was 2 weeks ago. I send an EM the next day which also has not been responded to. I WANT MY JEWELRY BACK.

Worthy.com I'm an easy going person and have never not once filed a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com

I'm an easy going person and have never not once filed a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com. At first review Worthy.Com appeared to be a credible business. I submitted an inquiry about mailing them my ring. Since that moment I received weekly reminder emails to ship them my ring. Promotion after promotion. I think hard before making most decisions but everything appeared to be on the up and up so I mailed my ring to them via Fed Ex. Within a few days I was emailed with a suggested reserve of $850 on a ring that cost me $5,500. I thought that was incredibly low especially knowing the Worthy fee was %18 so I set the reserve at $3,000. A bid came in for $1,300 or so and then I countered at $1,700. During this time my closest Uncle passed away and my life was flipped upside down. I contacted Worthy to let them know I needed time to handle all that goes along with someone passing away. I contacted Worthy back *** days after his passing to see if the buyer was still interested. They were not and Worthy suggested now that all of their buyers had seen the ring that I re-list it at a lower price. It appears they are more about their buyers making money than the customer. Anyhow, I decided that I would sell my ring through a different option. I requested that my ring be shipped back. Worthy was quick to respond that it would take *** business days. That process began on 8/30/22, today is 9/23/22. I've called countless times and have been told that Fed Ex was having delays. I mentioned I'd be patient and could wait a couple days passed the ten day ***. Since then every time I call they tell me, " we've reached out to our shipping department and we can't get ahold of anyone. I'm on hold for a few minutes and then different people tell me the same word track. At this point I've lost all patience and trust with this company and thus here is my compliant. I just called and they told me they'd email me to schedule a call with one of their managers. Are you serious?!

Worthy.com I sold my ring on Worthy on 6/30/22

I sold my ring on Worthy on 6/30/22. The auction process went well, and payment was received as promised. I did sell my ring during a promotional period to receive an additional $100. On 7/1/22, I sent an email inquiring about this payment, because it was not mentioned in the payment summary. I received this response: "Hi *** I see you have qualified for the cash back promotion so that $100 will be sent within 10 business days of your item selling. *** you, *** Auction Manager | Worthy". Ten business days passed, and I had not received my promotional payment. I sent another email on 7/20/22, and received this message, "***". I emailed back on 7/20, inquiring about timeline. I received another email on 7/21 after having to call to get a reply, "***" On 7/22, I received this email "***" I immediately replied that I was uninterested in a gift card and wanted the $100 that was agreed upon originally. I have sent another follow up email asking the status on 7/23. I have not received a reply. I am just wanting them to fulfill the original agreement.

Worthy.com When I sent my diamond ring into Worthy to potentially sell it using their auction services, I had major issues throughout my experience

When I sent my diamond ring into Worthy to potentially sell it using their auction services, I had major issues throughout my experience. Foremost was the fact that the company does NOT tell me all of the necessary and essential information up front. For example, I was NOT told that they would request or need to unmount my diamond from the ring until AFTER they had already received it. That felt deceptive to me because had I known that, I most likely would not have sent the ring into them in the first place. I asked for documentation of the process my ring went through once it was in their care, and that request was refused. My concern was how does the customer know that the diamond they get back, if they chose not to sell with Worthy, is the same one they received, if there is no documenation of the location and process of the diamond while in their possession? To an untrained professional, a diamond could easily be replaced, and noone but a professional would know. Once my ring was evaluated, I was told that it did not meet their minimum of $600.00, and they would not auction it. I was concerned about this, as I had documentation from the International Gemmological Institute, and had an informal appraisal done locally, both of which said it could be sold for much more than Worthy's statement. So, I asked for documentation on of their apprasial. I was told that while it was not their policy to do so, they would send that documentation to me. They did not do so. I was not informed of all the information when my ring was put up for auction, as I discovered after the auction was closed that I had an opportunity to counter the highest offer. I was never told this prior to the auction being set up. That information, too, would likely have changed my decision and how I proceed with the auction. I elected to stop dealing with Worthy and requested my ring be returned. When it was returned, it was returned mounted in some kind of silver band. There was no information about what metal this was, and it definitely was not the 14k gold band, or equivilant, that I sent into Worthy. Once again, no one informed me that my diamond would be mounted on any other band, nor in any other type of metal. The silver type mount dimishes the value of my ring. My perspective is that the procedures and processes of this company are at best unethical, and at worst are possibly illegal. Deception, including excluding information, was my experience throughout the process. I felt that I was provided just enough information to get me to send my ring in, and then once I sent it in and the ring was in their possession, was given pieces of new information that was very surprising to me and did not allow me to make a fully informed decision about whether or not I wanted to use this company or continue a business relationship with them. I find it hard to believe that ALL of the issues I had with them happen to be only my experience; there are too many of them to be coincidence. Therefore, I am very concerned about how this company does business on a regular basis, and am submitting this formal complaint. I feel so strongly about this that, it is also my intention to contact the NY Attorney General and the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs through which Worthy is licensed.

About Worthy.com

Screenshot Worthy.com
Worthy.com is a highly reputable and trustworthy online marketplace that deals with the buying and selling of valuable items such as jewelry, watches, and diamonds. The platform provides a secure and transparent process for both buyers and sellers to conduct their transactions, and ensures that all items sold are of the highest quality and are accurately represented.

One of the unique features of Worthy.com is their innovative auction system. When a seller decides to sell their item, it is sent to Worthy.com's headquarters where it undergoes a thorough evaluation by a team of expert appraisers. The appraisers then create a detailed description of the item and set a reserve price. The reserve price is the minimum price that the item can be sold for, and it is agreed upon by both the seller and Worthy.com.

Once the reserve price is set, the item is then put up for auction on Worthy.com's platform, and potential buyers are invited to bid on it. These bids are then kept confidential, and the highest bidder wins the auction. Once the auction is complete, Worthy.com notifies the seller and the buyer, and then facilitates the transaction.

In addition to their auction system, Worthy.com also offers a variety of other services, such as jewelry and diamond grading, appraisal and valuation services, and a free market value estimation tool. The platform also has a blog section that provides useful information on buying and selling jewelry, diamonds, and watches.

Overall, Worthy.com is a reliable and secure platform for buying and selling valuable items. Its innovative auction system, expert appraisers, and transparent process make it a preferred choice for anyone looking to sell their prized possessions.
