We ordered take out from the WingStop in Houston (Dairy Ashford location) on 2/6. The order was incorrect and some of it was actually inedible. The only resolution the store would provide was for us to return the entire order and they would replace it. Since it was 10 PM, we had already eaten part of the order - after my husband returned to the store with the remainder, the clerk took a picture, threw the remainder out, and refused to do anything at all.
We contacted the corporate office and were subsequently contacted by the franchise owner. His idea of resolution, at first, was to refund our credit card for the portion of the food we didn't eat. When we elaborated on the entire series of events (which included the manager calling my husband names over the phone), he invited us to dine at his restaurant with him. As if we want more of this terrible food!
Further, the owner somehow obtained our home address, which, if done unethically, would be tantamount to stalking. We have demanded an explanation and stated that we will consider filing a complaint with the Houston Police Department if it appears that the address was not obtained in an aboveboard manner.
I would advise that (1) you check your order completely before leaving the store and (2) that you pay cash. Know that if you are dissatisfied in any way, the corporate office probably won't care and the owner will care even less.
We personally will never set foot in a WingStop again.
2/12 FOLLOW UP: We discovered that the WingStop Corporate office provided our address to the local owner and are following up with them. The owner has offered to refund the cost of our entire order to atone for the lack of service and address our concerns with his staff. We have accepted this resolution and consider the matter closed.
