On 1/9/23 between 7:30pm and 7:50pm I went into Wingstop on Dairy Ashford to pick up an order for delivery. Normal process is that the employees prepare and package the order, including drinks. However, the female employee at the counter proceeded to pass this responsibility on to me to do. I had just completed an order about 15 minutes prior in which this same female employee handed me 2 cups and secure labels for me to get the drinks and seal it. Please understand I am a contracted delivery driver for a delivery company. I do not work for or at Wingstop and this is not normal process. At this time while it was very odd and against normal process, I fixed the drinks and placed the seal on it, despite this actually being the employees process to do. (and I myself have worked before as a server, hostess, and cocktail waitress so I am very familiar with the industry). I returned about 15 minutes later for another pickup order. The same female worker was at the counter and proceeded do the same thing again. However, I stated to her "can you make the drink this time", which again is the normal process. She put the cup back down on the counter and went to speak to another female employee (who I was later told was the manager). That other female employee exhibited ire, came over, took the bag from the counter (after I had already signed for the pickup), and placed it back on the delivery rack with the other orders (implying that if I am not going to fix the drink like she demands, then she will take the order back). She then took the cup as well and placed on another counter where the orders are prepared and bagged. I stated to her "Is the order ready for pickup or not"? She then very aggressively retrieved the bag from the rack and handed it to me and shoved the cup toward my direction for me to fix the drink. I then stated "I am here to pickup a"readymade"order for delivery. The disgruntled angry female/mgr then grabs the bag while it's still in my hand and begins to aggressively pull over and over to take the bag from me. I was in total and complete shock by her aggression and the fact that I am being assaulted because she and her employee refuse to do their job and insist on passing off responsibilities to delivery workers. At this point, it was clear the manager was insistent on bringing the matter to an escalated level of violence and continued to forcefully pull, increasing her grip each time, and that if I did not release the bag, the matter what have become a physical fight. After about 5 seconds of this of I released the bag to de-escalate the matter. I was completely violated, and threatened by the matter. I was physically and emotionally distressed. I then asked her multiple times,"what is your name so I can report you". She would never give her name but instead tried to intimidate me by saying"I'm calling *"(with a phone call to the delivery company). I stated,"Please do call them. I am doing the same."I also asked the original girl at the counter who started all of this"what is her name". She then tells me"she's a manager". I said"I don't care what she is. What is her name?"She too, refused to say her name. None of them had on name tags. The matter should have never escalated and the female/mgr is a threat to all who work there and anyone entering into the establishment. I have never experienced anything like this by an employee at a business and Wingstop should be ashamed to have this person in a so called"leadership" position. She lacks leadership, self control, professionalism, and conflict resolution skills and cannot be trusted to be over anyone.
Desired outcome: Manager should be fired and held accountable for threatening and assaulting drivers. We do not work for Wingstop and she was in no position to attempt to exert any authority or power over drivers.
