Took time off, waited 4 hours, no one came or called. Bad service. Went with someone else.

Heard bout them on the radio, got charged for inspection (most companies don't do that). Inspector came on time and introduced himself properly. He said he saw some hail damage and took pictures. The office was supposed to contact us but they didn't. We got a bid but it was expensive and there was no mention of the hail damage like we were told. I wouldn't recommend them and I won't listen to radio recommendations anymore. We went with another company!

Colin from Vonderhaar Fireplace, Stoves and Masonry, LLC in West Chester just put in a new chimney cap for me. I had some other questions and problems with my fireplace, insert, and chimney. He was super smart, helpful, and nice. I'm really glad I picked Vonderhaar to do the job, check things out, and give me advice. I'll definitely have them do more work for me. Besides being really good at what they do, I think their prices are fair and make sense. Thanks a lot!

I used Kirk and his company to replace my gas fireplace in my Hearth Room. His first visit was helpful as we weren't sure what we wanted the final look to be, and he showed us pictures of other jobs he had done, which helped a lot. The job was divided into two teams: the demolition of the old fireplace and installation of the new one, and a sub-contractor who did the stone work. All workers were well qualified and experienced in their jobs. The demolition team took better care protecting my floors and furniture. The stone mason slightly damaged the fireplace while working with the stone surround and promised to return to touch-up after the job was done but didn't. It took a call to the owner to resolve what should have been a minor repair. We are extremely pleased with the final result, however, and would recommend Vondehaar for anyone looking to replace their gas fireplace.

The chimney job was done, but not like the contract said. I paid for what was done right. The bricks and stuff don't match the house and they used staining without saying anything (see pic). The contractors came over without telling me and when they weren't supposed to. The boss came over too and didn't answer my messages. I asked to talk about fixing it, but the boss wants to put a lien on my house.

Vonderhaar came to clean my fireplace on 8/4. Collins put his ladder on the gutter, which was not good and caused damage. I called them to fix it, but they said no because the gutter was old and rusty. They offered to cut it and put in joints, but that's not good for the roof. They should either give me my money back or replace the whole gutter without shortcuts.

We got a big chimney job done by Vonderhaar in October . They said they couldn't start until spring, so we had someone put a tarp over the chimney to stop leaks. Finally, Vonderhaar started and finished the job in June . The day after, there was heavy rain and a lot of water came into our family room, making a hole. Their roofer came out and said it needed caulking. He also said the rest of the roof looked fine. But then it rained again and there was more leaking. Greg Vonderhaar came out and said the chimney was fine and the problem was just a small area of the roof. We had other professionals check and they said the roof area was just part of the problem, and the chimney was a big problem. We hired *** roofing and they said the flashing and seal that Vonderhaar did was faulty and needed to be torn out. We paid them $700 and they finished the work in mid-December. We've had rain since then, but no leaks. They also fixed the roof area, but said the chimney was the bigger problem.

I hired Vonderhaar Fireplace, Stoves and Masonry, LLC in 2016 to tuckpoint my chimney and they completed the work. They even put a cap on the chimney. However, in 2020, the brick, mortar, and crown of the chimney started failing under warranty. I called the company to come out and assess the situation. Vonderhaar's offered to tuckpoint again for free, but we negotiated to have them rebuild the chimney from the roofline up. We sent a deposit and they finished the rebuild in March . However, they did not reinstall the cap and did not communicate that they were removing it. I contacted them on April 1st to ask about the cap and the representative said that caps are not included in rebuilds, but they agreed to replace it at their cost. A Vonderhaar person stopped by on April 3rd, but no further information was communicated. I contacted them again on April 10th by email, but received no response. On April 16th, I received a bill and a letter from Vonderhaar's describing the cap as "any hidden or unforeseen work." I sent another email and called, but still received no response.

I got an estimate from Vonderhaar Fireplace, Stoves and Masonry, LLC in August for chimney work. I signed an agreement and gave a deposit. They said they would do the work, but I had to wait. I called them many times in the fall of 2019, and they promised to do the work. But then winter came, and I didn't hear anything. I called them again in February , and they promised to do the work. But they didn't schedule anything. In early May, Brad came to look at the chimney and get a match of the brick. He said he would be back in a few days to do the work, but he didn't show up. I called the office three weeks later, and they didn't know the work hadn't been done. Brad called me on June 8 and said he would be at our home the next day. He called me again on June 9 and asked for a picture of the brick. He said he would come back on the next nice day because it was raining. I asked for a picture of the brick he got, but he didn't reply. I called the office, and they said they would check with Brad. I haven't heard anything for the last 10 days.
