I can only advise against these false estimates, you get ripped off and still have to pay £27 for it. Better go to Sotheby's, Christies or Catawiki.

After a couple of days, I finally got a response back from them saying that my bowl was a 20th century reproduction. I submitted a piece of artwork that clearly depicted 3 Native Americans, with two being Crow Indian chiefs named Pretty Eagle and Bear Claw, and one being the famed Gerinimo. On the back of the piece, there was a sticker from Thurber Fine Arts, located at 210 Wabin in Chicago. A quick Google search showed that this business was only located at that address from [protected]. But you can't trust the experts at Valuemystuff, because they dated the piece to the 1930s.

What's even worse is that the artist had kindly printed the names of the subjects and their locations right next to their portrait in the artwork itself. The "Expert" at Valuemystuff suggested that this piece had been possibly painted at St. Xavier University in Chicago. But a simple internet search revealed that St. Xavier was actually a TOWN located in the Crow Indian Reservation, and the chief was indeed a Crow.

In conclusion, don't waste your time or money on this so-called expert appraisal service. Heck, even a kindergartner could have done better than they did. So if you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy appraisal service, Valuemystuff definitely isn't it.
