In mid-May during my shopping trip to Shaws I experienced less than adequate customer service. At checkout I asked if coupons would work for a product that was on sale or if I should do 2 transactions. Cashier said it should work. I then pointed out that another item didn't ring up correctly. Sadly, between my cashier and the 2 cashiers who's lines were empty treated me like I was a bother and annoying. As the only other customer got behind me complaining about the wait the 2 cashiers ignored her and just made me feel worse. Instead of offering to take lady to register they rudely just stared. Sadly, store coupon guidelines boast they price themselves on acceptance but, if error occurs they blame customer error never clerk or system error which was the case.
Desired outcome: Obviously a little compassion training is needed along with retraining on coupon acceptance.
