Strayer University - accounting department

I graduated from Strayer in Jun 2012. I put in my graduation package in January 2012 and it was approved. When I attended the graduation ceremony in Washington, DC, my name wasn't on the program and no one could explain to my why I wasn't listed on the program. I paid $150.00 for a process that failed and of course I didn't get a refund. I received a letter from Strayer December 2014 stating I owed them $1, 315 dollars. I called the Woodbridge, VA campus and asked them why I owed $1, 315.00 and they couldn't explain it to me. I told them I put in my graduation package and it was approved, also I received my diploma in the mail for my Master's Degree. They would not send my an itemized bill explaining why I owed the bill, they ended up sending it to collections. Recently I enrolled in another school to get my PhD, of course when I tried to get my transcript, it was denied because to the $1, 315. When I contacted them recently, I was told, the VA requested a $1, 305 re-payment because Strayer billed them for 3 classes when I only took two. I got this information from the VA first and the VA told me all the money they are giving Strayer and the Yellow Ribbon Program they claimed to have I shouldn't owe any money. I told them I didn't receive any Yellow Ribbon money, but according to my VA records, I received Yellow Ribbon money. I asked Strayer about this, and to this date, I haven't received an answer. Strayer claim the overpayment from the VA was given to me in a refund, I asked them why would you give me money that belongs to the VA for overpayment? I still don't have an answer to this question. They are not holding anyone accountable for their mistakes, so they are holding my transcripts hostage. Also, I want to respond to the person that stated how much money people of color are getting from Strayer. I am an African American female and a single parent. I have never received any Pell grants or any other kind of free money, except assistance from the VA, because I served 22 years in the military. If you are going to complain, have your facts straight. Don't blame Strayer's lack of business ethics on minorities. Out of all the complaint's, you're the only one using race as an issue. Strayer doesn't care who they steal money from.
