On April 21 I checked into the Williamsburg VA Hilton Garden Inn at 5pm. My room was not cleaned, as the bed was unmade, trash in trash cans, bathroom had towels all over the place. I went to the front desk, and the gentleman said "let me guess, your room is not ready." I said yes, but I can go get some dinner, which will provide plenty of time to have my room ready. When I returned, the room was in the same condition as when I left. At that point, I was so exhausted from planning a funeral, that I slept on the other bed that appeared to not be used. No one ever came to check on the room during my stay. If I was in a better situation, I would have addressed it while I was there. I would like to request a free night stay or refund on my room, as I was not able to enjoy a clean sanitized room.
