I brought my clothing to the Plato's closet at Parker and Custer in Plano Tx a couple of weeks ago and told the girl at the store whom I checked in with that I might not be returning that evening bc my baby was sick and she said no problem. I never received a text saying that my clothes were priced and to pick them up so I called a couple days later and was told they were no longer there and they had been donated. Plato's closet needs to have better communication about their policy if this is what y'all do. I am a single mother who lost her job due to covid, is no longer receiving unemployment and is now homeless. I brought clothing that I still wore, and had never been worn with tags and all to make some $ to support my baby. This is shameful and bad business tactics. I would like compensation please or I'll have my family attorney continuing legal action against the store and it's employees that stole my clothing from me.
Sincerely
Emily Naumann

Plato's Closet - prejudice /racism and uppity
Just reading over complaints I finally understand it was just not me. This place takes one look at you and decide they want nothing from you. I took in 5 or 6 bags of nice things some things in new boxes for them to tell me unfortunately we are not able to take anything. Well my items were in much better shapes than what was on the shelf. Even my daughter stated mom I do not think they even looked at all our items. I was so sure in my deepest part of me that I had experienced racist in the trust form...I looked on the Internet and it is pages and pages of the same type of experience.thing..Wow
Worst racism prejudice store I've ever walked in!
