While visiting a Dollar General in Lubbock, TX, i was accosted by an employee who demanded my backpack.
The backpack in question was my Kate Spade leather mini backpack purse.
I said no, it's my purse and I'm not leaving my purse anywhere. I offered to show her the contents so as to prove that I was not stealing. She refused. The employee said I'd have to leave. I asked, allowing my voice to carry (I'm a trained singer) if every other lady with a purse had to also leave their purse at the register. The employee didn't answer, so I asked again more loudly. She threatened to call the police on me because I refused to give her my purse.
