Bass Pro Shops - Trolling motor... Locators... Installation

Last year I drove to Grapevine, Texas from Sundown, Texas to deliver my Skeeter for electronics updates. It's about a six hour drive. I purchased Two new Lowrance locators and a Motorguide Xi5 trolling motor. About a $6000.00 upgrade. I believe it was spring 2019. I spent a great deal of time with your technicians picking out really good gear based on the recommendations by your professionals. Lodged in that area until the installation was complete, about a week. Payed y'all a bunch of money and picked by Skeeter up. Drove to Lake Fork and hit the water. Neither locator was operating properly. Techs at bass pro grapevine were absolutely no help. Finally found a tech at another location and spent over an hour with him on the phone while on the water. Finally fixed the issue... Locators were not programmed correctly by your techs. Then I started having electrical issues with the gear. Pulled the boat to a marine mechanic. Your techs in Grapevine had the wiring from the deep cycle batteries all screwed up. Paid this guy over $300 to fix the wiring mess. OK... now I'm getting upset. Load the boat up and drove home. Called customer service in Grapevine... no help. Figures. Went to Lake Amistad, my favorite, and started having with the GPS anchor lock. After a long process I figured out you have to go thru steps to communicate with the satellites and you have to unplug the trolling motor when not in use. Been nice if the sales professionals would have told me that in the beginning. I have been on the water six times and I can honestly say that I truly hate this trolling motor. The design and operation of this trolling motor is incredibly unsafe. The release lock is not user friendly and impossible to step on if the water is choppy. I fish alone 90% of the time... I'm 65 years old and I can't run the risk of falling overboard because of a crappy design. Another thing, I run a 24 volt system on my 19'6" skeeter. The salesman assured me that the 80lb thrust was more than I would ever need. Bull crap. The anchor lock will not hold this boat even in a 10 mph wind. I have called motorguide about the safety design and thrust issue. The response... Sorry we don't have any products that will assist in the raising or lowering of the trolling motor and we can't do anything about the lack of power. Well isn't that good information to have after the fact. I'm a pretty understanding guy and I trusted bass pro shops and their professionals when I spent all this money to end up with buyers remorse on steroids. I wish I would have purchased a minn kota trolling motor with the lift assist. Got to tell you guys... Sorely disappointed in bass pro. If you think you can assist me with this issue...Contact me... If not then so be it and i'll express my bass pro experience through other channels. Have a blessed day.
