EOS CCA

This company contacted me about an allegid old sprint acnt I had. They told me they would removed this off of my credit report. I work in collections and agencies cannot do this...it remains on your credit if you pay an old acnt or not. The rep advised me that Sprint would not have access to this acnt b/c they sold it in 2005 and they are just now able to find my information by skip trace. I contacted Sprint and they said they would have access to all or any acnts I have with them. I am still a Sprint customer and there is no way I would be able to have service with an outstanding balance like that. I have filed a complaint with the BBB of TX and will try to get more information from the company EOSCCA. What more can I do here? They have access to at least the last 4 of my ss# and they say they are reporting this on my credit.
