Ace Hardware - An injury inside the Langham Creek Ace Hardware Store

Today, June 1, 2023, while I was shopping inside the Langham Creek Ace Hardware Store in Cypress, TX, 77433, between 2:40-3:00 p.m. I was injured by a malfunctioning automatic door which led from the indoor nursery area going into the store proper. I was pushing a cart through that had my selected plants in the basket and my 5-yr old grandson in the child seat. The automatic door opened but as soon as I entered it abruptly shut, with the door slammed into my person, cutting and gashing my right forearm. The injury was severe enough for me to drip blood onto the floor all the way to the main area before I could get the attention of a sales associate who upon seeing my injury immediately sought help. A bit later another associate came with gauze to help with the bleeding and I told her I needed it to be cleaned since the door is filthy dirty with soil, fertilizer, plants, etc. being carried through on a regular basis. (I am especially concerned about infection as this particular arm was diagnosed and treated for bone cancer, chondrosarcoma, just a few years ago.) Yet, another sales associate came up and asked if it was THE automatic door coming in from the nursery which I confirmed, then he said he has been slammed by above said door many times and has complained of the danger it posed! Finally another associate showed me the bathroom so I could wash the injury, she then placed a large bandage with dressing on the wound. I took photos of this and it is also recorded on the store cameras. I am very, very angry that this happened as it was obviously unnecessary since this door problem was not a secret. I can only imagine that said door hitting a child, much more if it were my grandson. The imagined injury would have been at the level of his head were he walking at the time. My husband and I have been fairly regular visitors at that particular Ace Hardware for several years as we live in the area. I am 70 years old and I am a very mad, injured old woman.

Desired outcome: 1. FIX THE DOOR PROMPTLY2. I'm not sure as I'm still angry
