Dollar General - customer service and lack of community respect

It saddens me to see the store I once worked in many years ago in such horrific shape. It's truly disgusting. I only worked there a few months before being called out to lead a team to purge stock rooms and stores of old merchandise (alpha team). Then was given my own store to manage. I did do for 3 years and won awards for top sales, reduced shrink, and most recovered. Back then it was hard, and I still see the struggle today with cut payroll hours and less people in store to assist, clean, stock, etc. We had hourly recovery, accident prevention, customer service in the forefront of our minds ( and yes sales being top priority). I was proud of my store, and my customers noticed. It made them proud to shop there. I can tell you I have stopped shopping both of the DG's near me. The lack of respect the manager has, while always on her cell phone, the sheer nastiness of the store is intolerable and it angers me that this company doesn't show more respect for the community it is supposed to serve. Our community deserves better! The address I listed above will be the one I attach photos for below but the one in middle of town is almost as bad. Please take notice and please clean up your stores. We deserve better! Your goal (even back when I was an employee) was to have a store every 10 mins or so. You are reaching your goal, but at what cost to the consumer and community in which you build? What kind of customer are you trying to attract? What will your success look like it your brand only becomes known as filth?
