Great Wolf Lodge - Deep cleaning / damage fee

BE AWARE! I stayed 12/9-12/10 in room 1005 with my husband. After a long drive we arrived and were able to get into our rooms right away. However, my mistake was that I didn’t inspect the room and taking pictures or videos of how I received it. I spent a good amount of money on hot foods at and around the Lodge. But am being charged for a burn mark on the rug by a hot plate. One of my guest noticed a “hotplate” ring on the floor and didn’t think anything of it and didn’t notify me. Then I noticed it to in the rush of checking out and thought the same thing. Little did I know I was going to be charged $1k for this. This place is overcrowded, overpriced, and now scamming me. Take your money elsewhere. The picture shows where we saw the mark and it’s the day of check in. They cleaned out my bank account and left me with nothing.

Desired outcome: I want my Refund $815.00. Thank you

Great Wolf Lodge - Raw cheesecake at the buffet

I had no clue something like this existed online till today and I'm glad it does! Because of this I will be saying upfront that this happed to me on December 3rd of 2018. The reason I am compelled to complain is exactly how I was treated and the soul fact that I have not returned since. My stay was for I believe 3-4 days and on the first day of our stay I decided to take us all out to the buffet dinner and what a mistake that was. There was a few different cheese cakes there and I got one after my meal for dessert not another person out of the 4 of us got it thank God for that because I took one bite and quickly discovered it was raw in the middle. 3 hours later I was throwing up and diarrhea at the same time I also had the cold chills and possibly a fever. The remainder of my stay was spent I bed and the bathroom. 3 days I was very sick before it finally stopped. I had to ride home to NY wondering if my pants were going to make the trip home. The staff was notified about it that very day and security broke into one of their stores to get me meds. I should have gone to the hospital but didn't want to ruin it for the rest of my family which was 6 people. I spent enough money there that I could have gone to Disney instead. This all being said I contacted great wolf to make sure a real manager knew what happened to me and her response was that cheese cake is from an outside vendor. Not our responsibility! Think twice people before you eat there!

Desired outcome: Well I lost the enjoyment of my entire stay so what do you think it should be?

Great Wolf Lodge - Cancellation policy

Good Day, I needed to cancel my reservation today for a 1 room stay May 26-29. I cancelled 19 days prior to the reservation and GREAT Wolf is charging me $50 for a cancellation fee. How is this VALID. I can see if this was less than a week to go but this is 19 days out. Please advise what grounds I have to file a complaint against GREAT Wolf Lodge. Not for nothing I am a middle class, retired grandparent who was trying to take my grandkids away for the holiday weekend. Unfortunately, one child has a situation and would not be permitted to go therefore I opted to WAIT and cancel at this time until the whol family could attend together. But I am so annoyed that they would charge me $50 for no reason. Please advise what recourse I have to get my full refund from Great Wolf Lodge. Thank you for your time.

Great Wolf Lodge - My two night stay at great wolf lodge in the Poconos!

I just returned from staying two nights at the Poconos location. I booked to stay from 04/19/2023 to 4/21/2023. I also booked two rooms under my name. Let’s begin with my first complaint. I received an email on Sunday April 16th 2023 letting me know about the awful construction that was going on. This is something that I should have known about during my booking for this trip. There was nothing on your website letting us know that construction was underway.

Very dangerous situation around the whole property. Whole parking and walking to the front entrance. I have a cane due to my back and knee issue. As early as I arrive before checkin there were no handicap space available. Giving me a long walk. My rooms that I was first given were basically in the basement and I asked to be change to the third floor. With a bad back I had a long walk to and from the elevator and to where my family was placed. No consideration is taken for people who may need accessible privileges. I had to go downstairs to get a cart to help with my luggage’s upon checkout. The resort has someone to bring up extra sheets and all but no one to bring up a cart to make checking out easier.

Also checking into my room the sofa bed was left have open and half in the couch with sheets on the mattress. Not sure was the bed broke but it appear it was left unmade.

Also on the second bed the sheet had a dirty marking on it. Of course front desk sent someone up to drop off sheets and a blanket. The food was mediocre. One restaurant appear the only choice we had.

Construction was working on live wires hanging around the canopy towards the entrance which I am sure is illegal.

Did I mentioned not accessible for someone with back and knee issues. The low chair by the pools are ridiculously low and dangerous to maneuver.

At the restaurant one of the chair leg cracked and the person in my party almost fell on the floor. The manager offered her a free drink. Very dangerous!

Also they may want to take into account that lodge although caters to the children but not at all inclusive for children who may be on the spectrum. Let me also mentioned the pool towels were so dingy looking. That I chose to air dry myself. With Covid still being a factor you want to at least see things looking spic and span and bleached.

I honestly felt everything we thought we were getting was false advertisement on your website. There is a huge safety issue going on there. I will say my family and I stay were not enjoyable at all. For spending almost $1,000 times 2 it was definitely not worth it.

I would appreciate if someone would get back to me. Thank you!

Desired outcome: I would like to see if not all some type of monetary compensation. It felt like I just gave $2,000 away for false advertisement.

Great Wolf Lodge - Customer service staff

I have been vacationing at Great Wolf Lodge for about 17 years in Scotrun PA, this was the first time our visit was extremely un enjoyable. To start, we were told that the ongoing construction would not interfere with our stay. We were put in room 3050 directly above the construction and dumpster. This meant noise from around 6:00 am and in Saturday as well. Not much sleep! We took my grandkids to the ice cream shop there where a conversation about sex was being held by 3 of the female workers. Not something I wanted my 10 and 7 year old grandkids to hear. My grand son threw up in the restaurant, I went to the front of the restaurant and asked for cleaning supplies because I didn't feel that anyone should have to clean this up and I would be happy to take care of it. The hostess handed me 2 napkins. Not what I was hoping for so I grabbed a bunch of wet naps they had in a basket and cleaned it up. We took them to build a bear, what could go wrong there? We picked out their animal, after stuffing and sewing one of them the girl said oh I forgot to put the sound box in that you paid extra for. She took it apart and we could see that the new stitching looked flimsy. We asked if it would bo ok and she said yes. After sleeping with it that evening, we noticed the next morning a one inch hole in the back where the stitching should be. We took it back and the girl at the counter said this was unacceptable and that her coworker should have never let you leave with this. She kindly made my grandson a new one. So we decided to eat in the cafe, after putting our order in we patiently waited for about 25 minutes for our food and decided to ask about our order. The kid at the counter said they forgot to put your order in. After checking out we were walking into the parking lot and almost all our luggage fell into a muddy puddle from construction potholes. I wish I could say that we had a wonderful time but I cant.

Desired outcome: An apology from the manager would have been nice at checkout would have been nice and I feel that they could have done better than 15 % off the room would have been nice.

Great Wolf Lodge - No signal on the television can't watch any TV, no balcony access.

I wanted a balcony, so I can sit out there and drink my coffee when the sun sets and when it rises. So I reserve a balcony room for this reason and the balcony door is bolted shut. because of "construction" so I complained to the front desk and they did nothing to make my stay better. so after dinner at the buffet, I go to my room to watch TV and it says no signal. and the front desk says they're so but it due to the weather. so far I am unhappy with my stay here at Great Wolf Lodge. I will not stay here anymore, I will take my money/business to Kalahari or Camelback. and I will definitely let everyone know on social media about my stay here.

Desired outcome: a credit to my card for one night stay.

Great Wolf Lodge - Dining/Food experience

Hope all is well! My name is Tina Jones and I stayed at Great Wolf Lodge on February 28, 2020-February 29, 2020. Upon us checking In the staff was very friendly at the check in station. This was my family and I first experience here at the Great Wolf Lodge. We stayed in a family suite and it was very warm and welcoming. However, the reason for this email is to talk about the experience we had in the dining room at loose moose. We had breakfast at loose moose and while we waiting on to get our breakfast we noticed that each food station was left messy with food spill over and no one came over to clean it. When I sat down to eat my food I noticed that my fruit was molded on my plate. The grapes had mold in which caused me to stop eating the fruit. After being diagnosed with food poisoning last year I am very conscious about the food that I eat and where I eat at. I went back up to the fruit station to see if there were more fruit like that and indeed I came across the entire pan that was molded but still left to be served to guest. Coming from working in hospitality I am very aware that dining area should be a very clean area especially where you served your food. We noticed dirty utensils, and plates, in that station area. After breakfast I was very disappointed with he food and the cleanliness of the dining area I went to the front desk to speak to someone. However the concierge mentioned to me the reason for it being dirty is because of the kids. I expressed to her that that was not a valid excuse as I visited many different water park hotels and this is by far the first one I came across that the dining area was like this. And thay only leaves me to wonder what else is dirty since she said that. When I got to my room I felt very sick and could not enjoy my stay further at the hotel. I decided to lay down until it was my check out time. I have always wanted to come to Great Wolf lodge but never imagined my experience to be like this. If someone can reach out to me at their earliest convenience I would greatly appreciate it. I paid a total of $692.02 and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to a horrible dining experience. I took pictures of each station of where the food is being served so you can see how disgusting it is. My godson did have a great time but due to the dining experience I will never come here again.
