Nissan - cooling system/head gasket blown

My2005 Nissan Sentra started to spike on RPM's and overheat. I took it to my mother's mechanic, he thought it would be spark plugs that caused it. Cleaned it and then added some anti-freeze/coolant to the car. It was ok for a week or so then did it again. Actually went out one morning to start the car and it would not turn over. I called and had it towed to a Nissan garage. Imagine my suprise at 65, 500 miles that the head gasket was blown. I placed a complaint with their consumer affairs department, to which I received a terse repsonse of "I'm so sorry but Nissan will not be providing any financial assistance to fix the problem." To which I responded that I will churn as a customer and NEVER buy another Nissan. They were VERY unaffected by this, and the girl that called, Mandy, advised that she wasn't a mechanic. I don't know how she can pass on a declination of help when she has no clue how a car works.
