I went to this Carbondale PA Dollar General store and was treated rudely by the cashier. She refused to check out my items because they were in the hand basket. She rudely pushed the basket toward me and said, “EMPTY IT” not asking, demanding. She said it’s new store policy. When I said she doesn’t have to yell or be rude she left the register and told another associate to finish because I’hurt her feelings’ by asking her not to yell and be rude. I am horrified that this type of behavior is tolerated. A cashier can basically throw a basket full of items, yell at you, and be as rude as they want and keep their job without an apology. Getting sick of the ‘you hurt my feelings’ act. I will never walk in this location again. If you hate your job, find another one.
Desired outcome: Teach your employees to be respectful. There are other stores selling the same products. I would rather pay extra than to be treated like yesterday’s garbage.
