As a current member, it is incredibly frustrating to see an already busy workout facility become even more crowded due to the summer pass program for high school students. The kids are crowding/ hogging all the machines and benches, and maybe only half of them are actually using them for exercise. This isn’t a hangout spot. Like most adults, I am limited to when I’m able to come exercise due to my work schedule. And when I arrive around 4 pm each day, almost all of the machines are being used and it is almost impossible to utilize any of the exercise equipment due to the surge of young kids flooding the gym. It is unfair to members that are paying a bill to workout here each month to have to shortchange their exercise routines to accommodate to children that aren’t even working out the majority of the time. This promotion only benefits a small percentage of the gym population and does nothing for regular members who actually pay to workout.
Desired outcome: I’d appreciate a response for all of the regular members that this summer pass program negatively impacts.
