Walgreens

I was in the store on the evening of December 12th 2019 shopping for birthday gifts for a 7 year old girl (actually 2 seven year olds - twins) and a couple grocery items for the house. I had several small-ish toy items in my cart, as well as a couple larger items. I was in the aisle looking at the fruit snacks, when I had a moment thinking "oh no" because I had taken my wallet out of my purse earlier in the day while at home and suddenly couldn't be sure if I had put it back in, so I unzipped my purse and saw that my wallet was right on top. Well, one of the store employees (a middle aged woman) walked up to me and said "If you were going to put something in your purse, you probably shouldn't." I, of course, told her that I wasn't, nor was I planning to. She then says "Well, why were you opening your purse just now?" So I told her, even though, really, it was not her business. Then she walks away. I'm standing there in the aisle, almost in tears because of how mean her tone was and I'm just thinking "I don't have to take this!" I have NEVER stolen anything in my life and to be falsely accused of it was BEYOND HORRIBLE. So I decide I'm going to leave my cart right there with all the things I was going to buy still in it and I'm leaving because I suddenly don't want to spend my hard-earned money there. So I go to my car and text my friend (who rode with me) who is still in the store. When she comes out, she tells me that the same store employee asked her what she was doing and she replied that she was looking for her friend (me). THE STORE EMPLOYEE then proceeds to tell my friend that she had just CAUGHT me putting things in my purse! (Where other customers could hear her) So, not only, did she falsely accuse me, she then tells other people that she caught me! WHEN I LITERALLY DID NOTHING WRONG! She saw me open my purse, that is it, and she assumed she knew what I "was going to do." I am embarrassed, I am angry. I have lived close by and shopped at Walgreens for over 10 years and have NEVER STOLEN ANYTHING FROM THEM OR ANYONE ELSE. I am raising a little girl and am teaching her good behavior vs bad behavior and I AM NOT A THIEF! I will never shop at Walgrewns again if something isn't done about this, I am so upset!
