Citi Trends - Management

I worked almost 3 weeks I was disrespected as a women, and as a human being, from john the manager, saying my wrap for my dreadlocks was like a doo rag, to him telling me, I can't sit on the curb where they have ashe trays are and smoke on my 35 min break.. And can't stand on the side of store, I don't drive or have a car, so from all the pettiness I had to walk out and quit never quite a job before but they are to unprofessional and immature, i'm a women in my forties, never have I heard a so called manager be so nasty and disrespectful, I wonder if I was a man if he would have came at me that way, sign christy I king

Citi Trends - Store manager

I am currently an employee of this citi trends I have been there 6 yrs and we just got a new store manager. Today 8/30/2019 she calls our district manager Antwan because she thought I had a issue with her. So he comes and have us both in the office to talk and wants to know what the problem is. I said I didn't have a problem and she says she doesn't like the way I look which is discrimination against me I can't help the way I look this is me. So she goes on to say I can either transfer or she will fire me. Which is ridiculous she walks out to call our VP Sonya and I was told to take the rest of the night off. They just went off of what she said and had me leave without even hearing me out this is very unfair and something needs to be done ASAP I would like to talk to Jim Dunn [protected]

Today I went into work and john my manager, tells me I cant sit outside the store where the ashe trays are on the wall during my 35 min break, in my own folding chair and I coundnt sit period not even on the curb, I dont drive, I ride the bus... then he says I can't stand in the front if im on not on the the clock... sooo I went and got my chair in left... its been something sense the first day I start... from him telling me I couldnt wear my head wrap, he said it was like. me wearing a doo rag, but I have dread locks that go to my butt! im in my forties... and I dont like being treated like a child... now I see why they cant keep employees... mangerment is terrible, petty and very unprofessional, sign christy king

Poor quality and poor professionalism! Rude management an staff, I definitely wont be back! Manager got upset because it was a return! This is a very sad an disappointing experience!
