North Shore Animal League America

After about a hour and a half drive with 3 kids we got to north shore about 30 minutes there we found the perfect dog that the kids all loved and proceeded to fill out the application, after that we had to wait for a supervisor to speak with us and tell me that because i work part time for the board of education (making 42 dollars an hour) i could not adopt the dog. when i went on to tell her i hold another job with a construction company as a project manager she asked for my companies phone number to verify with them so i paused for a bit and looked thru my phone, my mother in law and her went back and forth about why did it matter how many hours a week i work and that we had called prior to our visit to see what documents we needed to bring and that at no time was a pay stub mentioned to us, she then told us that she was not going to let us adopt a dog when i told her that i just traveled an hour and a half she shrugged her shoulders and replied "THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM" I proceeded to ask to speak with another supervisor and to my surprise she was the only supervisor there. My Mother Inlaw then asked if she could do the application under her name being that she had the documentation necessary for the adoption she told her you are more then welcome to fill out a application, so once again we filled out the whole application just so they can inform her that they can not let you adopt because her daughter lives in the same household as her. I felt it to be extremely disrespectful the way we were treated by so called administration
