Some year ago, I had entered for the US Green Cart lottery program.
Today, after several years, I've been contacted by a very kind person asking me if I was still interested in the program.
To make a long story short, the person asked for some personal information and then informed me that she needed my Credit Card information to bill me $968 (€864) to partecipate the program.
Believing that USAFIS.ORG was part of the USA Government (since I enroleld on the governament website in the past, but not anywhere else), I gave my information and was billed as told.
Minutes later, I was called by my bank warning me of the mistake I made trusting these people.
I immediately wrote them asking to be contacted again, and the kind girl called me immediately. But as soon as I told her that I was mislead in believing that USAFIS was related to US Government and that I did not want to partecipate in their program, she quitted being so helping and told me that she was not authorized to refund. ... and that I would have to wait for someone to contact me.
I wrote them several times, but only automatic replies so far and I have not seen my money back.
I feel stupid for being scammed this way, but at least I hope to warn others. USAFIS is a PRIVATE firm offering SERVICES, and pricey ones I must say to fill a free form. Don't let them make you believe they are your only chance to get a Green Card: it is not true.

As per I got mail from usafis.[protected]@post.com Dated 8/02/2011 that i have been selected as one of the Diversity Visa (DV) program winner
for receiving a United States permanent Resident Card.Also known as Green Card Lottery, Known as
"diversity immigrants" (DV immigrants).
As part of our agreement they will issue free air line ticket from my country to USA.
They told me that U.S Department of state will contact me soon about visa processing information.
but still up to now 29/06/11 no body contact me .
Please help me to get beanifited from my winning DV Lottery program.

USAFIS Organization - scam
I have made a transaction with this company for the Green Card Lottery in the States. They have provided me with no services, upgraded the amount of money I was supposed to pay, took off 2 years subscription.
They refused to reimburse me as I did not use their services. They added 20% more payment on my card and when I called them to discuss refund and refused to take other services they hang up on me and I have not been able to connect with them again.
They lied, they harrassed me on the phone until they got what they wanted. When I received e.mail about payment made and services I was suppose to received, the info was completely wrong and I realised I had paid more than told.
Basically, they are a scam and I am responsible for going for it. However, a service is a service and getting refund for not using the service is a normal procedure.
I wish to warn other potential customers to NOT USE THIS COMPANY! IT IS A SCAM..

I was scammed by usafis
I put in 600 thousand naira into their fraudulent scheme. When i asked for a refund 3 months into the process because it was obvious they were running a scam process they managed to refund me a paltry 87 thousand naira. I need my money in full. They had nothing to offer and made several attempts to withdraw money from my account on several occasions. My saving grace was their was insufficient funds in the account else they would have drained my account. I need my money in full. Obianuju okere [protected]

I did fill up the form for green card lottery and paid $37.94 for 1 year on 12/28/2011. And usafis did took $37.94 out from my checking already. I did this for my niece.
The problem is that we try to check back and not be able to so. No real people to answer the phone which I try to call and do what the machine ask me to do. Please, help my niece to finish what I started for her. Her first name APIWAN

Do you really work for USAFIS and are willing to help the victims? It's nice to know that at least they have one real human being in the organization. I am a victim, too. By the way, I already filed a complaint to FBI IC3, hopefully they'll start an investigation soon, and I'll keep trying.

Greetings from South Africa, A NUISANCE this website offers US immigration visas on a lottery basis; although i did initiate a response by registering, it should be possible at any time to be spared any further marketing mail in my experience this is not the case; getting rid of these mails is a very difficult process and i have not yet been successful...

Hello from London I replied to this big advert on Yahoo.com and paid (twice - first 59 euros then 39 euros), and then did some investigation on the internet and it seems to be fraudulent - or am I incorrect? They did a calculation for me and I had to pay about 2500 dollars in advance without having any guarantees of winning the card... and I gave up... I had to fill out an application for a visa after I was chosen as one of the winners and we were about 89 out of 500 winners... But when I saw the amount of money, I gave up... I bring something and I don't take, so it was good to support people, not to make money with them, so I thought it was not serious.
