Three unauthorized withdrawals were made from my credit card from a Bronx Planet Fitness. My home gym is in Manhattan! The dates of the unauthorized withdrawals were:
*5/17/2013- $19.99
*5/16/2013- $19.99
*5/16/2013- $10.00
I left a copy of my statement with the sub-manager on Monday, June 1st. He said he was going to send a copy to the headquarters. He gave me the number for district manager who I have called and e-mailed three times. His phone goes straight to voicemail. I have not heard back from anyone since then.
I NEVER had this problem with New York Sports Club! I regret the day I joined Planet Fitness and I cannot wait for my contract to end so I can cancel it. I hate going now. NYSC may be more expensive but at least they are professional, return phone calls and have an accounting department. It is unacceptable to experience this kind of treatment.
Just to let you know i got sucked into a very unpleasant and costly scam at New York Sports Club. When i cancelled my membership over the phone they decided to pretend like i didnt even cancel it and continue discreetly charging my debit for $69 every month. What shocks me though is that before i called to cancel i would regularly get emails or fliers from the gym, after i called to cancel its like i dropped off of their blimp hoping i wouldnt glance at my statement..
