Lucillie Roberts changed the original billing information I had provided them with, charging the wrong account for five months. They then sent a postcard to the wrong name requesting payment for that five month period of time. I tried to contact them to fix the matter and was unable to reach anyone in customer service for three months. In that time period, they continued charging me but would not allow access to the gym because the account status is bad. When I finally reached a supervisor-Sherri- in the customer service department she accused me of lying about my knowledge of the unpaid account, refused to attempt to resolve the matter and told me I had to pay the full balance even for the months I was not allowed access to the gym. She would try to reach an agreement for a payment but hung up on me. I attempted to reach her again, she refused to take the call.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Lucille Roberts is a thieving and corrupt company. They sent me correspondence stating that the gym location on Flatbush avenue will be closing on August 14th, 2015. I got this letter in the middle of July. When I calles the gym, I was told to cancel my membership online. I did this well before the month of August begins but, Lucille Roberts continue to charge my credit card. They charge my card $15.98 0n the 28th of August and $31.98 on September 1st, 2015. I called to make them aware of their mistakes and was told that I will be refunded for the september charge but not the August charge. They are eager to take your money but when it is time to return it, they seem to have a problem. It is very unprofessional of this company, trying to get and keep customers with shady tactics. Beware of Lucille Roberts. In future when anyone cancel membership from them, instruct your credit card or debit card company not to pay any future lucille roberts bills. Block them from your credit accounts. I encourage everyone to seek other gyms. Good, clean wonderful gyms who treat their customers with respect and honor, and DO NOT EMPLOY SHADY TACTICS TO KEEP CUSTOMERS AND TAKE PAYMENTS UNDESERVEDLY.
Im still waiting for my money that they owe me I cancelled my gym and no money! still waiting. it has been 2 months all I want is my 27.00 back.
