Carvel Ice Cream Shoppes - Service

Carvel Ice Cream
75-65 31st Ave, Queens, NY 11370
June 23, 2021
Around 9:30 pm
I simply asked the nice young lady for a butter pecan milkshake.
She advised: we ran out of milk an Hour ago so no milkshake.
I said:
I just had a wonderful meal at Brunos Pizzeria next door and all I really need and want is a Carvel butter pecan milkshake.
She advised me that: we Don't have any Money in the register for milk.
I said I have the money.
She said theres no time for milk we're closing.
I thought to myself, all of these lies and excuses; over a MILKSHAKE?
I said to her:
I'll go get the milk with my owm money, and hurry back, there's a supermarket still open right next door.
The woman dismissed herself and
proceeded to the front door to pet her big brown furry dog that was outside laying all over the ground. I thought it to be cute and seemed innocent enough initially, but in retrospect the dog is carrying germs from laying all over the street! I thought.
But Then the unimaginable happened! The woman
returned to the counter, served the next customer a vanilla ice cream Cone! With no gloves and without washing her hands! How disgusting!
In lieu of alarming the customer, or embarrasing our beloved franchise, I chose to give your employee an opportunity to redeem herself. But.
Then after the transaction was made she uttered a muffled feeble attempt to call the lady back for her change then proceeded to put
the customers change in to Her tip cup! That is stealing! It doesn't matter how much it is, the crime gets bigger with time! Yes, she did do all of that!
Look at your cameras!
Or Oh yes, I do have supporting cell phone fotos of her and her dog, if necessary.

In the interim Jose, your other employee, (mild mannered, full of energy, management material) entered your establishment with some brown napkins.
I asked if he could get some milk. Quickly he responded
He said sure no problem. He then, get this,
Went to the Register (with no money in it) to get the money and to
promptly leave and return with 2 gallons of milk!

The lady with no name tag proceeded with dirty hands to oh no, prepare my butter pecan milkshake.
God, how I wanted that milkshake.
I asked her not to touch my ice cream with her knuckles, and she did scoop without touching the pecans.
It was the worst milkshake ever.
Funny, I could taste more Milk than anything else.
For years Carvel has always been a childhood delight for me; until now. I dont know if I'll be taking my children, grandchildren or anyone else back to that horrific place again. I dont know what's going on there when it's perceived that no one is looking.

In conclusion:
I suggest that you:
1. Train your employees to:
Wear gloves or at least
Wash their hands.
Amidst covid or Esp. after petting their dog!
2. Establish a friendly repore with the neighborhood. Its not just a job! Carvel is a joyful pastime and a loving experience.
3. Be kind to your co-worker. It appears that poor Jose is doing the grunt work, while the Queen of Sheba is denying customers service and ice cream, or serving with unsanitary habits, and shady business practices, tactics, and techniques. Go beyond the call of duty sometimes, Sheba!
4. Oh and never steal from the customer, the franchise, or your parents! It is written it is law!

Without your immediate attention to this serious subject, I will have no recourse but to:
Ask the Health Dept. The Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, The Attorney General, and/or the news about these deplorable, heinous, Distasteful
acts! And how they should be addressed!
Thank you for your time.
