I have been staying here approximately two weeks, and have kept the room very clean and haven’t really had a need for housekeeping to come in. I figured i’d try to be helpful since they had a lot of guests and were busy. Apparently, the staff didn’t like this. On thursday, may 4, 2023, we received a bill after extending my stay, and I was charged $250 for a smoking charge. I do not smoke, and no one had been smoking in the room. There were two housekeeping employees that stayed I opened the door and they smelled smoke. I had not had housekeeping in my room at all. That day, I had left for the day so they could come in and clean, when arriving back at 5 pm they had not been in so I mentioned this, and asked for sheets and I would change them myself. They have yet to resolve this issue. On top of this, housekeeping begins knocking at your door at 8 am. Every morning, I need to tell them at a minimum of 5 times that I am all set, to the point where I had to tell the man I was naked and could not open the door. I received a response from what seemed to be the manager that I didn’t need to give attitude. I feel belittled, scammed, discriminated against and disrespected. I have spent $3,000 on my stay here just to be insulted and charged $250 for “smoking” but it is really because the housekeepers did not want to be reprimanded for not cleaning a room they were suppose to.
Desired outcome: Refunded at the least the $250, if not for the stay due to treatment from staff.
