US Bank - After 20 years with them, I am now treated like a common criminal! Worst banking experience of my life!

Today, May 12 2021, I drove across town and went to the only remaining branch. Almost all have been closed. I waited in line at the drive through for 30 minutes, because the lobby has been closed for over a year now.
I deposited a check that had been issued by my credit union. The check was proceeds from a new loan I took out to pay for medical bills. I have deposited other checks in years past, that were identical to this one, with no problems. The teller informed me that there would be a hold placed on the entire deposit until 5/21/21.
I advised her that I needed the funds by 5/17/21, and that it should only take maybe 2 days for the check to clear. She said nothing she could do.
I then drove away and called my credit union. They assured me that they would pay the check as soon as they received it, and the whole process should be about 2 days. I then tried to call the U.S. Bank branch that had placed the hold, multiple times. Each time, my call was placed on hold and then hung up on. So I called the Corporate customer service line. They eventually transferred me to the branch manager, where I got a message stating he would be out of town for a week. So I drove back to the branch, waited in line again and finally spoke with a different manager. I explained that I desperately needed this money by the 17th for medical bills, and that I had just spoken with the credit union who absolutely guarantees the check, and that I had deposited these before with no problems. She allegedly called my credit union and was told that they could not give any info. So I then asked if I could call the credit union to verify my identity, and then hand the phone to her. She refused. So I then asked if in a couple days, when the check cleared could the hold be released so I could access the funds. She said no. When I asked why, she advised that it was too much risk for fraud. Really? After 20 years with the same bank? A federal credit union I had just spoken with?
Why on earth does US Bank need to hold MY MONEY for 5 days after the check clears?
I will let everyone in town know how US Bank treats their customers and close my account. This is impudent and insulting. Not to mention that if I miss the payment cut off for my medical bills, it will cost me an extra $1000. A uniquely unsatisfactory and stupid experience!

Desired outcome: Give me a break! Really?
