Old Navy

Hello. My daughter was in Old Navy in the Monmouth Mall in Eatontown, NJ. She was planning on purchasing items and was trying to find her size in a pair of white slides, which are shoes. It was exactly 8:46 pm eastern standard time. An employee came over to her and her friend and said the stores closed, you have to leave. My daughter replied ok I’m grabbing the slides and going to the register. She did have items on her arm already she was planning on purchasing. She grabbed the shoes and was walking towards the register and the employee said ok well we are closed so you have to leave and can’t buy your items. The store closes at 9pm Eastern standard time. It’s on the door sign. It was 8:46 pm and I know this because I was on the phone with her at the time and heard the employee. My daughter and her friend had no choice but to put down all the items they planned on purchasing and leave. My daughter called me very upset. I can’t believe that employees would do this when there was about 15 mins left before closing because they probably wanted to leave early and not have to stay a few minutes later. Old Navy lost out on a good sale and my daughter wasted her time shopping there. I can say we will not be shopping there again! I need the owner to be aware of this.
