I was in the drive through and my order was $11.23. I counted my money 3 times to make sure I was giving her the correct amount, I gave her $11.25. The lady at the window took my cash turned away from the cash drawer and turned back to me and said, You didn't give me $11 this is 10. I know it was $11 prior to her receiving the money.
I felt I didn't want to argue about a dollar so I reached into my purse and gave her my bank card and said charge $1 to my bank account. She said ok, gave me a receipt of $11.23.
I pulled into the parking spot and checked my bank account. The lady at the window charged my bank the full $11.23 and kept my cash of $11.25. I tried getting into the burger king building but the doors were locked.
I then stood in the drive through line waiting to speak with the manager. The manager gave me my money back but never once did he ask the lady what did she do with my cash. I told the manager I feel the lady was stealing from me.
The manager told me it was a mistake. I said, no. A mistake is her charging my card then giving me my $11.25 back informing me she charged my card accidentally. Not charging my card then keeping my cash also.
The manager was appologetic but the window cashier never once denied or tried to explain what was going on. Instead she was smirking the entire time I was talking to the manager.
I do not know how many people she has tried taking their money. This is bad for the company that someone is trying to steal from their customers. I believe the lady was ashamed she got caught.
Desired outcome: I would like to see the lady fired or working fries.
