I scheduled my appointment for today, March 8, 2019
Before I made my appointment, I asked to make sure I would be able to have my glasses completed on my visit, since I have to drive an hour one-way to get to the store. I was assured that it wouldn't be a problem.
I arrived for my 230 appointment early and completed all my intake forms. I proceeded to have my exam with the Doctor. She and I talked in length about if I needed to go to bifocal lenses and we agreed that I could wait till a later time since I was on the cusp of needing them.
So, then I'm sent out to the sales floor to pick out my frames. I found ones that I liked. The MANAGER took care of me at this point. She proceeded to try and sell me transition lenses because I NEEDED them. She isn't an optometrist, so why is she wasting my time trying to sell me a product that I don't require at this time? So I pick the lenses i want, requiring a $40 co-pay with my insurance. Then I am told that the GENERATOR is down and they are unable to make my glasses and that in fact, I will have to wait UP TO 10 days for them to come in. This means I have to make ANOTHER hour drive to receive my glasses which were supposed to be made today. I am very unpleased with the front sales staff. I should have been made aware of the problem prior to be seeing the doctor so I could have chosen to seek service at another facility that provides same day service.
I feel I deserve some form of compensation for my wasted trip to your Salisbury facility. I will NOT recommend them to ANYONE in my company or community.
