I normally went to perfect Dental who referred me to Tuft Dental however they didn't accept my dental plan so I was referred to Aspen Dental by our carrier Aetna Dental. About 5 years ago I had a bridge placed in the upper right side of my mouth. I started having lots of pain and this is when the whole ordeal started. I went to Aspen Dental and was told the tooth under the capped bridge needed a root canal, while looking over my teeth I asked them about my 2 front teeth that had been capped but now had a gap between the gum and teeth. They said they would have to recap; they also noticed a tooth missing on the left bottom side, I was strongly urged to get the tooth replaced. After reviewing the treatment plan, I agreed to have all the work completed. I was told it would cost 6, 300.00 and I used 2 credit cards; however, when I checked later, I was charged 6, 783.00 My fees were for the root canal and replacing the entire bridge on the left side of my mouth, recapping the 2 front teeth and replacing the 1 tooth on the left bottom side, my insurance would cover the rest. As they were close to completing the right side of my mouth my husband switched his job and our plan changed from Aetna Dental to Blue cross Blue Shield. I didn't return until the new insurance kicked in. While waiting for the new insurance to kick in I received a call from Aspen Dental telling me my new insurance didn't pay as much and I would need to come out of pocket another 500.00 plus in order for them to complete the right side of my mouth. I was in total shock due to knowing Blue Cross pays way more the Aetna Dental. We called Blue Cross and was told they never received the treatment plan for my work, we then called back to Aspen Dental asking them to send over the treatment plan, at first they said no and it wasn't until several calls were made they finally claimed to understand what we were asking for; however, a week and a half later they still have not sent my treatment plan for my insurance to review and state what they would cover. According to Aspen I still have 2, 900.00 plus on my account, I asked was the plate that was being cemented paid for and they said it was; however, they were still making them. I said I wanted to cancel the rest of the work with them and I would go to another dental and complete my work. I was told I could cancel because they had already started working on the plate and I could not get the remaining of my funds. I currently have a temporary plate that is rough and does not feel like my permanent teeth. These people are scamming me out of more and now I'm stuck with unfinished work.
Desired outcome: I want the work completed and I don't want to spend another dime!
