Ruth's Chris Steak House - Service

We had our anniversary dinner last night at Ruth Chris in Granger, IN. We sat in the bar and had an older gentlemen wait on us. Not only did he rush thru the specials, but left us for a good half hour, never returned to pick up dirty dishes. We finally saw him and he said he had to get tray to clear up the dishes. Said he'd been in a meeting. Never apologized nor did he ask us if we wanted any dessert. I also requested that it was our anniversary in the reservations. No mention at all about that, no offer of a free cake, etc. When it came time to pay the bill, we never saw him again so I left the payment with the bartender and we left. He was fortunate I even left a 10% tip. I am surprised at this at a restaurant such as Ruth Chris. People pay a lot of monies to eat there and expect decent attention and service. The bar only had 2 people in it besides us.

Very disappointed, we usually eat there at least 3 times a year.

Desired outcome: Our bill was $141.00 and I feel like we should receive a free meal. This is uncalled for in a place like this.....expensive meals poor service.

Ruth's Chris Steak House - Service did not equal what we have had in the past

My wife and I selected as has been our custom to celebrate out 51 wedding anniversary at your stake house at 902 E University Dr. Granger In 46530, at 6:00 PM on 6/25/23, we been doing this for many years. Sadly, Things were not as I had expected.

I had asked for a card signed by the staff to congratulate my wife and I and that card was not forthcoming, I was clear about this when I made my reservation in person. I was assured that such a card would be no problem. A concern about the coffee service that I mentioned to both to the manager of the store and your waiter for our table, was not good and did not help me feel better about the night.

I asked for coffee with cream and sugar which took a long time to come was server without a spoon or a saucer, the manager acted like I was crazy to ask for a spoon and a saucer to finish off my meal and a second cup was not offered I had to both beg for it but I did then get a clean spoon to stir my coffee, after a long wait to get served.

I understand our bill was large, but not excessive it was the lack of care that is the challenge. We still gave a tip but the attitude of both management and the staff needs to be improved. You can trace all this back to me I feel as you were not that busy, but you failed to please me and that is regrettable. You have lost my desire to return next year I trust you will understand.

Desired outcome: include a saucer so I may be able to rest my spoon on a clean surface in after I stirred my coffee.

Ruth's Chris Steak House - Food/service

Tonight my husband and I decided to order carry out from your South Bend, Indiana location. We have dined in many times before, but because of the short notice there were no reservations available. Upon calling to place our carry out order, the lady on the other line was very dismissive. Any question I had, she barely let for me to finish before she fired back with a snarky answer. I get it, we all have bad days so I dismissed it. I sent my husband to pick up our order. Because he was only picking up carry out he did not think to change his clothes. My husband works extremely hard, and we have made a very good living for ourselves. The staff at Ruth's Chris South Bend dismissed him, and treated him so poor (assuming because we came to pick up our order in Saturday work clothes). After feeling very awkward, and uncomfortable he paid for our order and left. Mind you, we spent well over $100 just like anyone else dining at that establishment. After receiving terrible service we were excited for delicious food. To our surprise our food was cold as cold could be, and our steak was rare. We asked for medium, as we do every time, and this was far from medium (I have attached a picture). I am extremely bothered that the staff there clearly judges books by their cover. Just because he did not have a suit, and tie on does not mean they should have treated him the way they did. The whole experience was awful, right down to the food. $180 completely wasted. Please advise the staff at this establishment to do better.
