I was a stylist at this location recently for 2 months I was terminated, for a disagreement. I worked at the location in Orland IL, which is like their sister store, In 2020 and I resign in February of 2021. I was rehired at this location September 1st, 2022.
October 26, 2022 I was terminated. I asked why? Even stayed after hours for answers. I was told during the 90 day probation period I was technically not a employee, after I was terminated. Before I was terminated, I did not sign a employment hand book nor was aware about this act. The disagreement was with the assistant manager.
October 21st of 2022 I was working a mid shift.
One of my regulars requested me to cut their hair. I took a little more extra time on him. I was told to speed up my service on a client so I can start cutting a African American woman's hair in a very rude and aggressive way. I feel by me being an African American Woman the assistant manager singled me out. I tired to get in contact with the owner about this situation but he refused to hear my side of everything.
Desired outcome: I wish the store the best of luck and I wish the store had more diversity when it comes to stylist, so no one of any ethnicity will feel singled out.
