LensCrafters - wrong prescription

I had an eye exam on 2/26/2019 at the LensCrafters located in Macy's in Skokie, IL. I requested a prescription for single vision glasses and then picked out a frame. My glasses were ready after a week but when I tried them on I got dizzy, nauseous and everything was distorted. For example, things looked like they were bulging, doors looked like they were bent in the middle and the floor look like it was dipping in spots. When I told the person at the shop that, she said that they needed to be readjusted. They took the measurements again and sent them back to the lab. Another week went by and I got the glasses back, and the problems still weren't resolved. Everything was distorted and I felt very dizzy while wearing the glasses. Once again they told me I'd need another readjustment. When I told them I thought it was the lenses themselves and that maybe they were incorrect (I could see different levels of gradation in the lenses and thought perhaps they gave me progressives lenses, especially since the copy of the Rx I have says "Add Near 250."). The woman at LensCrafters insisted that they were single vision and that my problems were probably caused by the coating but that since I had already sent the glasses back once for a readjustment they couldn't send them out again without management approval. She told me that her manager wouldn't be in the store until tomorrow and that they'd call me back to let me know if they were going to send them back to have the coating removed, but if the coating was removed I wouldn't be able to drive at night. I let them hold onto the glasses and decided to stop by another eye Dr's office to ask about the coating. She said that there's no way an anti-glare coating would cause distortion and dizziness. She told me that those issues are caused by an incorrect Rx, that they either made the lenses progressive or that the results of my eye exam were incorrect. The Dr. I spoke with unfortunately doesn't take my insurance but she suggested I get a full refund from LensCrafters, make sure my insurance benefits were reinstated and then see another eye Dr. to have my exam redone. I'm annoyed and upset that I had to go through all of this, plus waste three weeks waiting for glasses that were incorrect, especially since the woman at LensCrafters wasn't even sure if another correction to the lenses could be made. The customer service at the Macy's LensCrafters is unacceptable and I will never go there again or recommend them to anyone. I now have a new exam scheduled for two days from now and will most likely have to wait another week after that for them to make my new glasses that I desperately need.
