Dismissive, rude, inpatient receptionist who told us to sit and wait for the Dr without looking at us until she realized we were only there for glasses. Then she turned salesperson who only showed us the glasses that exceeded our insurance allowance, I realized at the end of the visit.
She didn't tell me how much the frames were, but proceeded to take pictures of my son in them to take measurements for completing the sale. I expected to walk out paying less than 50$ with insurance, and her initial bill for us was over 400$. She took a few unnecessary add-ons off the order while I was practically hyperventilating.
I've had experiences ordering glasses for many many many years - this was by far the pushiest, most uncaring person I've dealt with yet. Anyway, the big issue is that - upon calling 24 hrs later to inquire about canceling the order due to my discomfort with the experience, the office manager said (again, super rude from the get-go) that no return or cancellation was possible. She practically laughed when I asked about their return policy.
Then HER manager allegedy said we could return the frames but not the lenses. And that we would still owe 3$. What does a person do with lenses and no frames? Wasn't that just a bigger "eff you" in a way - sure, we'll return the frames, but not the lenses! Here's some worthless lenses for you to keep in your pocket. wth.
Very CLEARLY solely about the sales and not at all about the customer. It makes me frustrated but also just super sad. There are plenty of companies who put the customer/patient/client at the fore of their mission and gain loyal, appreciative followers for life. I will never set foot in one of these locations again after this.
