First let me say I'm a Catos only shopper. St. Louis, Decatur IL and Mattoon IL. However tonight I went to the Decatur store to exchange a shirt for a different size. There were only two ladies working, I didn't get names so the only way I can describe the lady that reluctantly wait on me was African American, the other lady was not. I asked her if she had more shirts like the one I brought back in, I needed a different size. She looked at the shirt and with an ‘air' and snotty tone looked at it like it was beneath her. She said... maybe on clearance rack that's a summer shirt... and walked away. Really?! She clearly didn't want to waste her time on me, nor did she offer to look or help me, I was infuriated. I left the shirt on the counter and went to look myself. I found 3 exact shirts NOT on the clearance, I took the correct size up up, and said, "Here it is and there's others over there, and its NOT on clearance rack (mind you it's a long sleeve shirt) because I just bought it two weeks ago. She didn't say a word back to me, just exchanged it and gave it back to me. I have never had anyone wait on me, in any of your stores, and be as rude and ‘nose in the air' as this woman. I almost turned to the other lady working to ask her to finish waiting on me, as I had a shirt on order which she went back to see if it had came in yet, and she was very nice and polite waiting on me. I've never made a complaint but I'm still anger over her and thought you should be told.
