I registered for a class on Monday 3/1/21. The class was not populated in my portal until 3/2/21. I went on and viewed the assignments and realized this class was more involved than I thought it would be and unfortunately too much for me to do at this time. I called today and spoke to a student advisor who told me I will have a 10% charge and I would be billed $400.00. I decided to wait and think about dropping the class and realized the math did not match up so I called back. I questioned the 10% and was told it is other charges as well such as supplies, not sure what these would be in an online class, as well as registration fees and other random fees equaling a total of $400.00. I think this is gouging the system. I logged onto the course last night at around 8pm and it is now 545pm. I have not even been in the class for 24 hours. Someone needs to look into these charges and I should be reimbursed for these absurd charges.
